I'm a firm believer that there's a 30% built in waste factor in all of government; federal, state and local. There's plenty of chopping to do... but as always, someone's ox will get "gored"...... professor

Indy-eed. In a loving relationship it is more of a gift than a compromise

I tend to think that people forget the "common good" and are too wrapped up in, "it's all about me"...a common malady of today's world. thumbs down

Yeah, I love his flat tax discussions and the libertarian discussions. Other than that, I can't stand him.

Wish are you talking about the 300 chump change we all got? That won't go far in this current economy where people are unable to afford the over $4.00 gas prices. Most of the tax cuts favored the wealthy and were supposed to be stimulating our economy because those guys would angelically provide more jobs and stability for us. Didn't happen did it, how about our deficit, I'm asking for some suggestions of what we are supposed to do now!

I do believe up until this year, there was steady job growth. I forget how many millions of jobs have been generated....but it's substantial. I would suggest looking back on people in congress who are making major bucks from big oil. They're in congress. I posted it here...or on Dude's thread?

We agree on the deficit. He should have spent more time vetoing big spending bills from Republicans and Democrats alike.

Freeze spending at 08 rates for 3 years. Play catch up. JMO

I'm thinking a gas tax holiday. Consumers would save thirty bucks on average this summer and it would take $10 billion out of an already decimated infrastructure. It only sounds like pandering. Wait. One candidate was brave enough not to support it...

1 bridge falling doesn't make a decimated infrastructure, I don't think. dunno

The psychology is quite complex...I think the female fraternity is so accustomed to threads heralding size and girth, that a thread stating a diminutive status is immediately interesting, even from a novelty point of view. But that mustn't obscure that fact that women LOVE talking about dicks even more than men do....in fact men NEVER talk about dicks, in male company...and women talk about EVERYTHING in female company....this is true..

Shouldn't that be penis....laugh
