As a matter of fact I see this delegate stuff generally as a very strange thing and as told before I would rather a popularity voting system like in many other free countries were the methode. I think people and people alone all to gether.....no body less or no body more important than the other and all with their One Vote only should be the one swhom decided the nomination!

But still now this delegate systen is existing and of course people have to deal with this as well. Repubes using this delegate thing as well and as a matte roff act theirs is even more bull shit I beleive Because they decide too fast every time and whom ever they choose this fast will be the one whom probabely will be Shoved upon americans with a great possibility rate!

Democratic system is at least...based on many many more votes some how!

I hope some day if americans want that, there is no such a thing as delegates and super delegates thing over there....I beleive this delegate system some how disturbing democracy generally!

Do you think ameircans will be able to demand a change of this delegate system as well soon? Can it be changed and based on popularity votes? Would you like that Indyfella?
That's an interal problem within the democrat party. They'll have to solve it. Republicans will find out that they didn't nominate the best candidate after the election is over. Oh well....such is life.

I am sorry that offended you. I am from Illinois and I am not brainwashed that Reagan was one of the greatest presidents that ever lived is all. I think his greatness is blown WAY out of proportion.

I think the last time I saw a survey of great presidents, he was ranked 5th. It's all perspective, if a person is inclined toward a socialistic style of government, they'll like the Jimmy Carter types~

As I said earlier, there's not a thing anyone can say on here that offends me...as usually I consider the source.

Actually I think delgates ans super dlegates basing their endorsments upon serious research a bout what the candidate says and based on how the candidate will be able to deleiver the assignement when the candidate is on power. Beside they think a bout the candidates abilities in order to beat the main oponent and that is McCain of course.

Whom will vote for a lady whom is probabely a good person but still has tons of records a gainst her no matter what she says and means here and now as a part of her nomination?

The matter is not her being a lady but what this Hillary containes and what she has done before and still is doing?

Then there is McCain....

Then there is Obama!

I am totaly certain dlegates and super delegates really reserching any way they can before they make their minds. Just imagine whom thought people so close to both Clintons now on days changing side? If their changing sides was just a deceive or just based on what they think americans generally thinking, they would not dare to oppose Hillary whose tog ether with Bill owns almost the whole democratic party any way! Even these people choosing Obama as the one they endorse is a Reveloution by it self I beleive!
Let,s assume all of a sudden a new person makes a new politichal party and so on......How on earht can this new party and this new nominated being able to do any thing in the next 6 mounths? There has been "new" personalities before..As Ralf Nader for example! What did he achieve any way? All he did was strenghtening the Republican party any way you see?

I am sure under Obama as the next one there will be plenty of time in order to think a bout alternative ways of running the country....but here and now there is an emergency going on and the patient can really get lost if this huge amount of negative direction for America is not stopped for good or if America One more time falls in the Bushney,s net!

It brings me great saddness that the Democrat Party doesn't trust the electorate enough to even set up a system where "super-delegates" are required. Basically the party doesn't trust the masses to make a good decision; so there has to be "the superior class" within the party to make sure the masses don't too far astray. There's a lot of implications within a political party that doesn't trust it's constituency at all. Sleep on that one Dude~ crying

Serenity........

Nice post!

This reveloution you are dreaming a bout or the other dream a bout in the day of election no body shows up might be because of all you have experienced specially during last eight years.....or how?

Almost any kind of real reveloutions on earth has been violent beside one single one in Ukraine as an example which turned well and no blood was spilled.......but that one was also a really lucky one I guess.

I think a kind of real reveloution can begin inside peoples heart and minds if they have some thing making them feel like "common" in order to taking care of the values of the society and the feeling of the way they do it is just for good and not tkaing others rights a way.

After 9/11 in Newyork which was a city with a lot violent coamparing to other cities on earth, for a periode of a year at least, that kind of "reveloution" was shaped I beleive. All of a sudden the amount of criminality dropped rapidley and people helped each other and there were not much rudness in trafik and people talked nice to the clients and elderies were helped and poors were heleped and a lot other things I heard was really unbeleivable in city,s history. I have been in New york and they are actually really Rude and not patience at all , but I heard all of a sudden the change of that society ......That kind of "reveloution" happened because people felt as a whole organ because of the terrible terror atacks of 9/11 and they felt like there are values they have to stand to gether with to support and they felt like goodness is the most important part of change in a time when Revenge and Blood is the only thing many others were thinking a bout.

I beleive if a man as Obama is the next president, then most people will be able to feel a kind of releif a bout a change will happen in America. They will be able to feel oak....this man is at least a lot different from all others we have experienced on power in America and I beleive this feeling of releif will be resulted of a kind of a silence reveloution in the whole country any way.

I have been interested in America for years and even my knowledge is rather simple and not much worth any way, still I know that there has never been so much dissatisfaction a bout the state of the union as it is since 2001. I know that politicians has lied and deceived people before but during Bushney,s on power the amount of Lies and Indifference to ward american people from the government is Huge comapairing to any other government in recent history.

Americans are not Stupied and there is a reason and a very good reason why this Bush is absoloutely the president with so law popularity rate and when americans sending him tons of Saltcrackers for his birth day then it is not just american Humor and for fun....they are tired of this administration and they know they Can expect a lot better than this!

No body can expect a totaly new party all of a sudden or a reveloution all of a sudden or a boycut of election all of a sudden because all these will end just in one result and that is McCain as the president Becasue Kaos is exactly what makes americans getting Feared A gain and voting after that! and Beside right winged Bushney,s never ever Boycut any election and they will Vote.....Count on that in deed !

Whom is the candidate which is mostly Able to deleiver at least some of these changes you require?

I could applause

I'm generally optimistic (believe it or not), but since I don't care for any of the 3 candidates left standing, I won't be overly optimistic as they all will take us more toward a socialistic path. thumbs down

Nobody is perfect. Indyfella, I am not for a second going to convince you otherwise. I don't have a need to change your perception. Obama being Obama is much better to me than Hillary being Hillary and McCain being McCain...I do have to say that I like McCain's personality, I just don't like his agenda.
I have seeen some instances of Obama losing a bit of composure during some debates, kinda did worry me, but like I said, nobody is perfect.

I just want a new approach when it comes to the int'l diplomacy, and I like Obama's the best. This whole thing is so complicated, it's going to take at least 30 years to turn the institutions upside down and rightside up, unfortunately, I don't think it's going to be a smooth transition. Radical change is needed on all levels, and before that happens, there has to be major shit storms if you will....history can back me up on that one. Electing Obama would be a start, but I strongly feel that another party(green party) needs more influence and power. Too bad it's money, media and propaganda that is dictating who we vote for.

The Republicans and Democrats will do everything in their power to suppress an independent political party by means of using their deep pockets to spread the fear of how inept or how dangerous an independent party is through the media.

There's a high probability that he'll see much more stress than what he's going to endure in a campaign.
If he can't handle that, then he's got problems. Actually, I like his personality more than the other 2.
I'm not sure you can run a country on hope...rolling eyes
