I suppose we could have just backed off and lobbed missiles at suspected terrorists camps like we did after the USS Cole attack and Khobar towers. That was pretty effective huh? Certainly sent a strong message to Bin Laden and prevented him from ever screwing with the US again.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame Bush for the whole thing. While he is responsible as the Commander in Chief, I do believe most of the Senate and House were right there with him. Barak Obama is one of the few who has the right to say I told you so.

Bin Laden was in the "gun sights" during the Clinton administration. Couldn't get the approval to take him out because of potential bad press for "collateral damage." Now look at the collateral damage. To think that 9/11 might not have occurred had he been more concerned about being a Commander in Chief than about poll ratings. Americans are great at displacing anger...we have it down to a science.

Indy, sometimes you're funny and sometimes you're spot on. I agree with the libertarian view as well. It's really quite simple. Most people are smart enough to make their own good decisions and don't need big brother telling them how much to eat, what drugs to take or how to take care of themselves. If they're not smart enough then they suffer the consequences of their actions. I'll not be restricted in my liberties by a relatively small population of Darwin Award seekers.

Usually, I try to blend humor and "spot on"......at the same times. Sometimes it doesn't work.

If someone wants to weigh 300 lbs, it's no concern of mine. I would say that the medical problems incurred are no concern of mine either. Live and let live~

I was watching the news this evening and it appears to mad misguided people tried to blow themselves up in Israel today.

One blew him himself up, they other lay on the floor just about conscious and his Bomb belt was visible for all to see when a quick thinking armed man thought it was prudent to put 5 bullets in him before he could detonate his belt, killing or maiming who knows how many completely innocent bystanders.

Now if that were in America we could expect the man to have a T.V show, or be on the Time Magazine front cover shortly, where as in the Uk the Liberals will ask why did he have to shoot him 5 times, and couldn't he just have discussed flower arranging and his human rights.

We all know Palestine has the shit end of the stick, but how these nutter's expect to move forward there cause by blowing normal people up in the street is beyond me?

What would you have to say to a man with a bomb on his waist, and more importantly what would you say to the man who shot him 5 times?

Handshake, game show host, book deal, or something else???

Do you need one more bullet? dunno

Just wondering if you're as concerned for the Lithuanians, as the seem to top the list?

Not at all. I've not heard much about the Lithuanian CS members as to how they view America.

Other than wanting the Danish cartoonist who drew a picture of Muhammad, I don't see that most Danish are in the eye of Al-Kida. (That dude may be dead meat if they catch up with him.) I'm sure the Danish have learned to keep a low profile after that....don't you think?

I really admire what the Giants have accomplished towards the end of the season - they gave the Pats a good run as well. And three road playoff games? Wow.

The Pats are a friggin' machine. This could be the best Superbowl in a while methinks...
