druidess6308: I'm glad it's working out for you so far...and loons who are willing to take that leap of faith give those of us with little of it some hope that maybe, just maybe, if we try it might work after all.

I'm happy for you, Lass! And thank you. I'm not quite ready for that leap yet...but who knows, for that right man, I just might get brave.

Oh...and I grew up as a pilot's daughter who used to hold the hands of those who were afraid to fly but had to for whatever reason...I survived over 20 years of flying...planes crash much less than lightening strikes a person or cars crash. So, hold onto that as you fly!

I thank you, I am believing in this, I am believing. He continues to give me reasons. Thank youbouquet of flowers

druidess6308: I'll never say never...and close sure isn't working! I can't deal with an alcoholic again, so I give up on Blue Eyes...and the last one was way too clingy. I can't take feeling smothered. I need some space. Not enough to feel like there is not relationship, but enough room to breath...literally, in person and figuratively when not in person. And again, not so heavy on the alcohol. Occasional should be just that...and it's not several a day, not in my books.

So...back to single and loving it for now!

Nothing wrong with that, actually that is as normal as living with somebody, we are human and we all have our different ways of living and understanding, it is difficult and it shouldn't be but in LDR you do have to give that little bit more of effort to be together even if it is once for x amount of days until you want to move onto the other stage, to me I am scared of planes but at the same time take a thrill at the ride, dunno why, but for him? I am taking that leap of faith, and it feels right, do I know how it will end? no, but so far it is good, real good.applause cheering head banger heart wings

druidess6308: Nope...definitely not up to the leap of faith on this one. This is where having been burned so much catches up. And, I won't leave my kids. So...you get into this kind of relationship, how do you know he's not hiding a wife or another girlfriend? Nope...it would take more trust than I can give. (Uhoh...why do I feel a Fate bite coming? Checking...whew, I don't see the cursed "n" word in there. )

I will be honest, the little town I live in has not got that many men that are not married so this is where I started looking, I found a man on another site but he is free to look here as he has before, I believe that LDRs can work you just have to put a little more effort in the getting together part, the rest imo will fall into place as it has for us two, this month makes a year, and it has not been easy but it has dam%ed well worth it, would I do it again? Yes.smitten heart wings

Moema: Hey there, I like the "leap of faith" idea, I´m totally for leaps like that myself. However, do you think you might want to evaluate what you´re leaping into, so that your leap is more consistent and not just based on a fairy tale?

Dear lady Moema, I am not just rattling about the "leap of faith" theory, this is a facts based feeling, sometimes not so voluntary as we as humans fall in love so easily now days. Some humans do. But a leap of faith is always an ongoing process, it is a matter that is real, even if not tangible, that is the easy understanding of this whole situation, you also have things that others don't think of as miscommunication, forgive the spelling if wrong, but there have been times when I sent messages and he has sent them and they didn't get through until days later and we thought the other was not talking to the other, just little things like that can cause a question in the LDR but then solved. easily, if based without emotion and with facts, I try and deal with my formula, sorry. A loon I am, a loon I tell youlaugh hope your evening is going wellwine

wave to you lady Moema, will get back to this since I know a lot about it, a year about it anyway, there are things that some don't know that they need to because of miscommunications because it IS LDR, so you asked if it was worth it? a real quick reply would be it is a "take a leap of faith" is it wonderful? most times yes, does it have it's draw backs? of course! and there are even limbo stages, but that is when the leap of faith kicks in, anyway I am sorry to rattle, that glass you knowwink wanted to say hello and will get back to this, very interesting threads about this keeps comming up, thanks for another oneapplause

nomindgames: I would prefer to let them rest where they are.

I used to have dreams of my mama comming back over and over and they were very vivid, one night she came to me floating, I was so happy, until I smelled something, it was a stench I will never ever forget. She told me that she was there like I wanted, I told her I didn't think it was supposed to be this way and she said to me "but you wanted this" and I said "yes I do but not like this" and I woke up from the dream, the last one as a nightmare I had and smelled that very same smell that I had smelled in my dream, odd, it did not go away all day. Now I just know she is here with me. I do so miss her though 46 is a young age to die,, and 23 is a young age to lose her.

Dknew: No one, If their only going to be back a short time why do it. The hurt of loss was bad enough the 1st time.

But what if you could say the things you didn't get to say the first time? maybe you are right and the pain wouldn't be worth it but then again maybe it would be. Would have to think on it.
