Although I have to sidestep the question, I will say this, weddings are a great date.
It gives you, and your date, the opportunity to show how well both of you interact with other people. It can say more about a person than how well you interact with each other.
Personally, I love going to parties where I don't know anybody. I'll let my date know that she doesn't have to babysit me and if she wants to chat with friends, to do so. Then I mingle.
Nothing says more about a person than to walk into a room full of strangers and walk out with a room full of friends. When everybody starts asking your date about the person they are with, they may look at you in a different light.
I once invited a woman, that I had never met in person, over for Christmas eve with my extended family. She was going to spend it alone at home! There was no way that I was going to let that happen, whether we hit it off or not.
I made sure she was comfortable and knew everybody. She said it was one of the nicest Christmases she had ever taken part of.
Anyway, never pass up a date, like a wedding, where you can show off your people skills to a date, it says more about you than think.
