I saw the Missouri thing, thats just too far to travel for me. This could be a one day thing that kids could attend as well. Its about an hour and 15 minutes out of Columbus and Probably an hour and half to 45 minutes from Cleveland. It is a little early in the year but, the Smallmouth Bass are supposed to bite like crazy. Thats the reason I'm going. I noticed that not a whole lot of people actually put anything into the Ohio forums. Hopefully, this will get some attention. Its a nice way to get to know people.

Out of curiousity, one of the other sites I'm on has get togethers , special events, and so forth, Although there is not a whole lot of people that frequent the Ohio Forums, Or at least post in the forums on this site, I was starting to plan a camping trip in late March or early April to Ohio Power Recreation Lands. The campsite are located around McConnelsville, about 8 miles east of there actually. Be forewarned however these sites are primitive only, No electric, But the price is right, Free. You just need a permit that you can download from an AEP website. So check it out and tell me what you think.

I think maybe you just got caught up in a group of young men that really don't know what they want. The idea of a serious relationship looks good on paper to them. In reality they may not be ready for a commitment and confused on what they are really looking for. Or their just playing around. Unfortunately that later often happens. Hang in there, I truly believe that their are people out there that are looking for something solid. If I didn't I wouldn't be here.

I noticed this question in another forum so I thought I might shed some light. I dont run backgrounds on people I haven't met, but the world is an evil place and I think most women should just to protect themselves. Before I say anything else, Remember that people have the ability to change, and there may be circumstances that you wont know about behind any charges. Its just a tool to protect yourself by having knowledge of what could be. If you find anything the best thing you can do is ask that person to tell you about it.
OK, this is a link to county courthouses in the state of Ohio http://www.clelaw.lib.oh.us/Public/Misc/Muni_Ct.html
By going to this site and picking the right county or city, you can look under public access and type in a first and last name. Any criminal record in that county will show up. They also post a birth date so you dont get confused with two people that have the same name. These site normally show criminal and civil cases.
You can also look at County Auditors for property owned, and county jails usually have a web site also, I know that Southeast Regional Jail does.
Last but least there is Zabasearch.com which list past addresses, This last site is normally way out of date, but on occasion can be helpful.
Hope this helps some people out.

I think it depends on the situation, but for me personally I would prefer to wait 2 weeks to a month just to talk online and the telephone a while before meeting. Its really a matter of getting to know the person you're talking with. While appearance has some importance, a lot of people put to much importance in it and forget to get to know the person.

Its been my experience that most people I've met are shallow, and concerned with themselves more than anyone else. It makes it very difficult and frustrating to find someone to trust and love. I live on the philosophy " If you cant take a joke, To h$@# with you" You just cant allow yourself to be hurt by people that who are closed minded and cant understand its whats on the inside that matters. Keep trying you'll find someone thats interested in who you are.

Judging by the ratio of men to women, around 300 men to 150 women thats in Ohio anyway, I'd say the odds are better for the ladies

Only problem with all that is, She'll want more. When there is no more C-YA. I tried all that, I had to work out of town and was only home on weekends, but when I was there I did cook, clean, take care of the kids and still managed to do candlelit dinners, candlelit Baths(one of her favorites), Massages and really listened to what she had to say. Not to mention the clothing and jewelry purchased for her to make her feel really good about herself. What happened you ask? The other guy screwed up and left his magazine laying on my coffee table with his address on it.

I tried to forgive the first time, but to be honest once the trust is gone , it's gone. As it turns out I was right not to trust because she did it again and again. The funny part I suppose is I was blamed for her cheating. I had to work out of town and was only home on the weekends. She needed somebody there all the time. The really good part though is because of my kids we have to stay in contact with one another and I got to see her cheat on the guy she was cheating on me with. If I know that a woman is with another man it's not going to happen. some things are wrong, there always wrong no matter how you try to twist it around.

Its even worse than you think, Most of the companies that do a background check on the net come up with old and outdated information. Most times you can find what you need yourself. Here in Ohio just check the municipal court websites, Enter a name and not only criminal chrges show up but civil cases as well.

The world as we know it is a sick place, with demented people everywhere. I wasn't upset because I told her what my history was. I was honest and forthcoming with it because a relationship will not work with skeletons in the closet. And really it's just a smart thing to do these days.

In the grand scheme of things 10 months is nothing. If you really are in love, I firmly believe that you really dont want anybody else, and if he is a really good guy then waiting for him would be appreciated by him. Feelings of betrayal can end a relationship faster than anything other force on the planet.
