This is not the first time that this person has attacked me in this way... a couple of months ago, he came out of no where and attacked me on a thread. The attack was purely personal with nothing to do with the thread or anything I posted to that thread. I was accused of being an "insecure slut who thinks she is to good for everyone" these attacks went on for about 2 pages.

The only thing that I can attribute it to is that he had posted, what he later stated was a "windup thread", saying how he was "giving it to this married woman whose husband was a soldier stationed overseas" and that he was tired of her and was going to give one of the lads who worked for him "a go at her".

I didn´t get the humour and responded that I hoped the soldier came home and caught him in the act and shoved his rifle you know where.

Prior to that I have never had any contact with this man, either behind the scenes or on forums... but for some reason he obviously has a problem with me. The thing that really gets me is he has on several occasions in the past week posted to people to stop the personal attacks and stick to the issues, but in my case personal attacks from him seem to be ok.

Yes, I do wonder what it is that has caused such an incredibly negative reaction to me... but I don´t spend a lot of time worrying about it. He shows himself to be what he is in the way he has treated me.

If he has a valid reason for this sort of attack I would really love to hear it, because again, with the exception of the one post, I have never had any contact with him.

Read what I wrote.... prior to that, and I just couldn´t help commenting on the sheer hypocrisy of your statement.

I know I should have been a bigger person, but I just couldn´t seem to help myself. Again, other then responding in a negative manner... and I was not the only one to do so, in your "wind up thread" what have I ever done to you?

What the....??? Why did you take that as a personal attack? Your name was NEVER mentioned. Nor did I read any implication thereof. That was rude & cruel to say to her. Such a personal tongue-lashing. Unbelievable!!

Get yourself a good gay buddy.... it´s a male voice, will help you with that makeover from a guys perspective... they make great cuddle buddies on the couch while watching a movie, they´ll watch chic flicks and not complain, and none of the messy relationship stuff! laugh

I mean, Mr. Gelgoff, like him or not is out there doing good things for the far less fortunate on this planet. You may dislike him, personally; but to disparage what he's doing FOR others is in poor taste. One's outrage would be better placed in the reason these kids need help.

I kmnow you're trying to be funny, I just think its in poor taste, better to make fun of people who do nothing to help the less fortunate.

I agree Al... if all he does is bring attention to the matter then at least it´s something... more than most people are willing to do.

It´s all about power... men who think like this think they are taking something from a woman when they have sex with her and it makes them seem more important in their minds and in the minds of other men who think the same way, these are the same men who feel a woman is at fault if she is raped... "because you know she had to have been asking for it".

This is nothing new... it´s the same mind set that allows the Taliban to stone women who are seen talking with a man, or to throw acid in a woman's face if she refuses a marriage proposal. The same mind set that allowed men to accuse a woman of being a witch if he felt himself attracted to her instead of taking the responsibility on himself, it is so much easier to blame a woman.

Fortunately some men have advanced beyond this mind set and can see sex as something that is shared between two people, a giving and receiving of pleasure. With the exception of rape, no man can take something that I am willing to share, I can´t be "taken advantage of" because I only do what I want to do for my own reasons. This doesn´t mean that any man can crook his little finger and I will be his... in fact just the opposite, I am very particular as to who I choose to share sex with and can guarantee that it doesn´t happen with the type of man who would feel like he had "gotten something" from me.

When women choose not to be a victim of men and are empowered by their own sexuality... there are some who are so threatened by it that their only recourse is to try to lower her in the eyes of others by making degrading and disparaging remarks... funny but these are the same men who will pat their buddies on the back and say good job....

Surely morality is about more then whether or not a person is sexually active? If you did want to base it on that then who would be the more "moral" person... the one who shared physical pleasure with another, or the one who took something and degraded the person he had taken it from?

Oh, dear. You heart breaker, you!

laugh I´ve just never felt the need to wrap sex up in emotion and sentiment, it is pure physical fun and not to be confused with what two people who are in love with each other share.

... and no, I´m not as heartless as that last post, that only comes into play if things become uncomfortable. I greatly prefer if we are both comfortable enough to sleep over, enjoy a little more fun in the morning, have a coffee and a kiss and are comfortable when and if we run into each other again, with no expectations.

I have had my share of one night stands... you see each other there is definitely sexual chemistry, your in the mood and it happens.

What I find amusing is a man´s reaction when the woman is the one to get out of bed and start dressing to leave... or gives him a kiss and says "would you mind locking the door on your way out" as she rolls over to go to sleep. laugh

This Nation was founded "under GOD"

If someone wants to marry a dog, is it his right to do so, is it discrimination if they can't marry????

Or any other animal for that matter...

What about some weirdo that wants to marry an object such as a doll or teddy bear,

I know you are laughing, but it is only because those things are not acceptable by society........... yet....

A long time ago, people would of laugh and said that two men were just sick and could never be married, until more and more people found it acceptable now we are where we are...The Bible even says, in the last days we will be a gay society. 100yrs ago people probably read that as impossible and thought that the Bible was lying.....JMOGOD said marriage is between a man and a woman. that is why our Nation's LAW was written that way...

First if you want to look at it soley from a "God" point of view... who´s God? I don´t remember reading anywhere in the Nations founding that it is a "Christian God", so why does the Christian ideals of marriage matter more then any other? There are plenty of other religions that have completely different ideas of marriage rather then the traditional one man one woman marriage of the Christian society. At the same time you have many heterosexual couples who marry in a civil service without any reference to God or religion... does that make their union any less valid?

To compare two men or two women having a relationship to a human and an animal or inanimate object is simply ridiculous... how can you possibly compare the love between 2 humans to the love between a human and something else...confused

I strongly feel that two people, regardless of their sex, have a right to a union that is accepted by law, that they should have the same rights to care for and love each other that any heterosexual couple have.

I think having a mutli racial President with a mixed cultural heritage shows everyone that a large percentage of Americans have taken a step forward in their thinking. What surprises me, is that his detractors swing from claiming he is elitist to barely concealed ethnic slurs... doesn´t make a lot of sense to me...confused

It´s my hope that US foreign policy will improve as other world leaders will perhaps feel they are dealing with someone that they can relate to rather then dealing with someone of "the good old boy" mentality.

Mostly, I hope that the people who fought and fought hard for this victory will realise that sliding back into apathy is not the way forward and if any of the goals of this Administration are to be met, it will mean that they continue to fight and be a part of the political system.

Any "Christian" who is truly horrified by this has a unique opportunity to show that their beliefs are more then just talk. As men and women of God, you have the perfect opportunity to go there and correct these injustices. These are very small villages... surely it woud´nt take many of you to go over and perform a few hunderd exorcisms or what ever will remove these "curses" from these children.

.... and to teach these people that what their Pastor is teaching them is WRONG!
