the fires were about 20 km from where i live. i personally didn't notice any smoke, but the day was extremely hot with hot northerly winds. the temp was 46.4c or over 110f i think. you know anything is possible in these conditions.
at the moment it is difficult because you want to now what happened, but the news really drags you down and there is nothing that can be done now. there will be a lot of emotions to go through before anything can be rebuilt.
i know whittlesea which i believe was burnt to the ground and at the moment i feel that as long as i never go back it will always be the way it was.
