Does it mean.. that as parent you have to put up with verbal physical (and sometimes mental) abuse

from your child .. ???

That they can do and say anything they want.. with them safe in the knowledge that they have the law protecting them and the threat of a phone call.

hahah.. It always amazes me that so many teenagers actually MAKE it to adult hood..

If parents parented firmly and consistantly from the time the child was small they wouldn't have had those problems. The children would have had respect for the parents more, to not have treated parents that way.
