My grand daughter just brought this home from school. I never knew there was a meaning for the candy cane. Just wanted to share this in case anyone else wanted to know.

Many years ago there was a candy maker that wanted to make a candy that would represent the story of Christ. He created

the candy cane. He used the colors of white and red. White is the symbol of Jesus' purity and sinlessness. Red to remind us

of the blood he shed on the cross. The shape of the candy is a cane or a shepherd's staff. The candy maker wanted to

remind us that Jesus is our Good Shepherd. The candy cane turned upside down is the letter "J" for Jesus.

So when you see a candy cane, think about Jesus and his life and share his story with a friend. Just as the candy maker did

many years ago.

The doctors are not always right, with my grand daughter they wanted my daughter to abort her because they said she would die when born. My daughter would not do it, she said if it is gods will then it will happen but she would not do it.

Faith was born early but she did survive and with no complications. She is now 20 months old, but the doctors still say there is something wrong we just have not found it yet.

Never give up hope.
