In response to:
The abuse of police powers is nothing new.
Look up the RCMP in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan from several years ago. Taking people from the inner city and dropping them off in miles from the city in freezing temps to die. Some did.
The four RCMP that were killed in Mayerthorpe shouldn't have been on the property in the first place knowing james Roszko's history. They didn't even have a search warrant and were tresspassing. Their superior officers were sending a message that"we will do as we please" to the community and Roszko at the expense of four RCMP lives and Roszko. One superior was promoted over this.
City police are no different. Look up tasering by Edmonton's finest. Tasering kids while they're sleeping and defenseless. The former police chief and his kids who are also officers. Nothing done about any of it. Swept under the carpet. Beatings, threats, tasering and other abuses.
Sad what they can get away with. How is one supposed to trust the police anywhere when you hear about this going on.
I certainly don't. Not saying they're all like that but which are and which are not is hard to tell. They all look the same when they're in uniform.
i want some of this kool aid too.....
yeah police are bad ...outlaws are good until the general public gets assaulted or need a place to put these outlaws then who does everyone call? the police...but everyone is so much smarter than they.....monday quarterbacking is easy....i for one have an morals and values and would do anything/and everything to avoid a situation like that. people do need to realize it is usually split second decisions...not always correct but then again not always wrong. i do ask what would have been said if they let this guy walk out into the public when he was "distraught" and potentially a danger to others.
always easier to coach and win after the game is played.
I am ashamed of the RCMP.: click here to read the entire thread »
