This is the best I ever got to know about.....

In Italian, when someone has been two timed by his partner, he/she are said to have LE CORNA (The Horns)......

once a year there is a village which holds the CORNUTI festival.....

it is a day when all those HORNED participate to celebrate....

and the best thing about it?

Being able to make a joke of oneself's mishaps......

Not being of any of the two nationalities involved int his discussion I may be untitled to comment......bet....

or Viet Nam?

Sounds like the same story all over again with Afghanistan.....

there always seems to be a reason for the politicians to justify sending in the troops.....

and at the end....it is always the individuals who carry the consequences.

How wise is that?

Seems strange somehow to come on the threads and find someone saying it's raining this morning........

Kind of.....having my coffee....just past 9.15.....in shorts with the curtains down to kill the sun from coming in the room....and the cicalas are already sceaming in the garden......I mean.....haven't seen a cloud for the last couple of months now....and still a few more weeks to go before we do.....

And it's only a couple of hours flight away too.....

Interesting this.....

got a friend who first started inporting bamboo furnishings from Thailand...he is an very eco aware sort of guy....

a few years back he moved to Thailand permanently, bought some farmland inland, and started a bamboo plantation....

he has now organised the local farm people to start harvesting the bamboo has set up a manufacturing industry for eco friendly futniture made of the stuff which he is exporting all over....

fascinating material to be fair.....

ever so often I get a virus I call Gozotitis.......that is when the smallness of where i live brings me to the verge of killing someone sort of.....

so instead i catch a flight out and go to London or Amsterdam mostly....on my own...just walking the streets unon there makes me feel a lot better...

and coming back i find more energy and more verve then before.

Make the time.

It's your loss otherwise....
