Yes.

Yes.

and Yes.

Am in favour big time. Have been involved in a project for these last three years on converting three houses, basing all on recylcing.

Recylced building, furniture, wood from pallets, garden walls from bottles, doors and windows, sinks, the works. Rain water is recycled by conserving it in a large underground reserviour purposely built.

We have succeeded in recycling 80% of material excavated on site for the pools, and installed solar water heaters for showers and pools. We are now in the process of costing the installation of solar voltiac and wind turbine for electricity generation. If we can make this project self sufficient, it would be fab.

In effect, the island where i live, Gozo, has been earmarked to be developed in an eco island. Albiet still on paper. But things are getting in motion. The percentage of collected recyable domestic waste has grown considerably since the introduction of a Monday door to door collection of paper, plastic and metal so far. Hopefully soon, we should have a recycling plant in motion locally, and also a bulk refuse collection centre for houshold and industrial waste sorting.

There is also extensive EU funding for any projects aimed at the purpose of recycling and energy conservation applications that may be adapted throught the EU.

Skybow: Sometimes the knowledge of something creates a desire to find out more which leads to more knowledge.

Sometimes there are things I need to find out to fulfill duties that leads to my accumulation and deposit of knowledge.

My very favorite though is when my inner self, my spirit drives me to seek knowledge simply by letting me know that there is so much more to know.

The more knowledge one accumulates,
the more you realise how littel we really know.

That is the sign of intelligence.

Salinger, in a sense, shows great naivete and sensitivity in dealing with this subject...and if you know much about Salinger, he pretty much decided not to join in the fray, becoming pretty much a recluse for much of his life.

If most of us knew beforehand what life was gowing to throw at us, would we have undertaken the journey?

It is the adventure I believe, to discover, to find out, to experience, that provides the drive for us to go further.

What is the point of knowing what is to happen? How boring will that be?

Have read this thread with great interest.

It is only a handful of years back that I became aware of bi-polar condition. And it made me aware that I had experienced two relationships in previous years that were effected by it.

I tend to agree with those who posted saying run the other way. I can identify totally.

None of us are really equipped to deal with situations fo this nature. Call it selfish, or whatever. But the complexity of such charachters makes professional help a must.

The hurt and the pain that can be caused by a bi-polar partner makes it extremely difficult for oneslef to cope. It disrupts your life, and leaves a lot of turmoil behind when it is over.

Sorry if this is found offensive by some, but it the god honest experienced truth.

Love to all.

Aaaaahhhh....

Drugs are not the craze of now, but have been there ever since I can remember people partying.

What has changed is the substances used. In the 13 years I was on the frontline I came across Marijuana, Coke, Heroine, LSD, poppers, downers, speed, and whatever concoction happened to be in fashion at the time.

However, I was wise enough to steer clear of all except weed. And today I thank my good sense at the time. Some of the people I used to meet then are no longer. Dead and buried. And not of old age either.

Others who have done the hard drugs for a number of years, found it extremely difficult to lay off them, and when u meet them today, thier brains ain't right. And u can tell. They're kind of daaaa!

Coke burns u out, apart your pocket.
Heroine kills or leaves u brain damaged for life.
LSD burns your brain cells.

The new concoctions, like ecstasy, are chemical mixtures mostly originating from amateur labs. U don't know what is in them until it's too late. Even here, albiet a speck of an island by comparison, we had various cases of young ones dying due to ecstacy.

If u didn't know before, now u do.

If u want to act stupid, suite yourself.

But if you got brains, stick to smoking dope.
