Hi Starlite, Nah, you're not weird because you disagree with the toilet seat thing....it's just that since we do most everything to pick up after the guys and try to keep up the inside of the home, it would be so very nice for a change to have a guy keep the toilet seat clean and dry and place it in the down position with the lid down too when he is finished peeing. He most certainly does sit down on it eventually.

Besides, if you have a Fido, you might want to keep him out of the toilet also and keep the water from splashing all over when he takes his drinks from the toilet.

This isn't a matter of a battle in the home but rather training a male in how to be courteous to a woman...much like we ask them to remove muddy boots and not traipse mud though the entire home.

In turn, they train us in what makes them happiest....a good meal, lots of lovin, and a home that's clean enough to be healthy but not necessarily always tidy. And each family has their list of things that makes their home a home and their family happy.

Ya don't need to run for the straight jacket.....just let your guys know that you are special and this is one of the ways that they can show you that they care. It's not to late to train them. I trained my 2 males. It becomes habit for them after awhile to place the toilet seat down. You won't regret it Starlite!!

Now ya just know that the toilet seat being placed in the down position after the men use the toilet is very special and important to a woman. There is nothing more miserable in the middle of the night than for a woman to go to the bathroom and when she least expects it, she sits down on cold wet porcelin Yuk!!! Grumble, Grumble, Grumble...Who left the seat up?
So yes.... this is near and dear to my heart as a mom of a male. I believe that many other women would have to agree that the toilet seat issue is one way that a guy would lovingly let us know that we as women are special in their lives.
Is there any woman that would disagree with this?

Putting the toilet seat in the down position certainly does qualify for showing a woman that she is special. Just ask any woman who lives in a home with the male species. And make sure ya wipe the splashes on the toilet seat off too after ya put the seat back down.

Other things to show how special we are is to help with clean up and dishes after a meal, help with household chores, share a hot shower or bath together, and oh yes, coffee and conversation in bed with special time set aside for each other without interruptions. And don't forget the foot and body rub!!! Send the kids to the babysitter and take the phone off the hook to make the special time more memorably. Now that is showing that your woman is special!!!

Now don't everyone shoot me for my opinion here please!! There's 2 sides to every story and I don't think both sides are listed in the story above. So here's my take on the situation.

When a dying old man chases after a young woman and he already has a girlfriend, there's something wrong with this scenario. Perhaps he wants to try to get his last "piece" like a young stud before he "kicks the bucket." No young woman in her right mind is going to put her life on hold unless there is some money involved for her, either now or in the future after he's gone. Ever hear of a goldigger?

Doubt a young man would hook up with an older dying woman if she had a boyfriend. Of course, if there was some money involved for him...he might reconsider and become the ultimate young giggolo stud...right to the end of her life. :

Shame on the old man, he is a phony, attending his first girlfriend's family things as her partner to save face. And playing around with a young girl, making her believe he cares. Don't hear him asking her to marry him! scold:


I feel sorry for the young girl and disgust for the older man. Sounds like he may have been a skirtchaser in his lifetime. What happened to faithfulness?

Would he remain with the young woman or even get involved with her if she were at the end of her life and he was healthy and vibrant? Would he still be interested in her? I wonder.....hmmm! :

I'd sit down with the young woman and have a serious sensitve talk and let her see the pros and cons of the situation at hand. But ultimately, she has her reasons for staying with him or moving on. She'll do what she wants to do anyway. Life is strange...and there is probably more to the story than just what was written.

Been dating a CS member ever since I met him. He's a sweetheart of a guy with a gentle soul and a good heart. Although we are very opposite, we are also the complements of each other and are a good mesh. One has to set aside special time and make it quality time to develop a relationship.

The age of the partner does matter. I was married to a man 21 yrs. older. My mistake. Generation thinking and role expectation difference was too great. Many older men want a young woman as a conquest.. Young women naively think the man really loves them and will take care of them. Some relationships might work, but I won't venture there again, least not that far of a difference in age.

This is a tough question. Guess I'd have to say that there has to be some type of chemistry about a person that sets off a catalytic reaction in you to set the spark of desire for a relationship in motion.
