Its hard not to remember Christmas Past. Its hard to know that this Holiday which is known for bringing family together, cant when family is gone. Its hard to know a childs face wont light up when they dont have any gifts.

Your words ring true Paws.....but Christmas has become alot more. Unfortunately its part of this evolving and changing world. Of course we as adults can understand and my children know the true meaning of Christmas.....but and yes..there has to be a but....there are other things that have become accustomed too!!

Christmas morning we will attend services, we will be happy to have friends and family in our lives and we will celebrate the true CHRISTMAS....

I am happy to have good health, a warm place to sleep and food on the table....but young kids just dont have the ability to understand that those are what is important...they know that wrapping paper means presents!! Luckily mine are older....only one who still believes in Santa...and Im not ready to take that away from her!!hug

OK, this is the web site to request toys form the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Orginization.

I don't have a family or kids to give Chrismas to. SO, If you'll send me an email I'll send a couple of small gifts for the kids.

See, you do have friends here.
hug awwww you are toooooooo sweet!! thank a bunch! I know I have friends here, thats why I love this place. Over the years I have met some wonderful people on here!

Just FYI....I already contacted toys for tots, they go through the Salvation Army here to distribute toys. For a good reason too....they dont want to duplicate families so they use them as a clearing house!!

Thanks a million though, I do appreciate it!

Men Are Just Happier People--

What do you expect from such simple creatures?

Your last name stays put.

The garage is all yours.

Wedding plans take care of themselves.

Chocolate is just another snack.

You can be President.

You can never be pregnant.

You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.

You can wear NO shirt to a water park.

Car mechanics tell you the truth.

The world is your urinal.

You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just

too icky.

You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.

Same work, more pay.

Wrinkles add character.

Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100.

People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.

New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.

One mood all the time.

Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.

You know stuff about tanks.

A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.

You can open all your own jars.

You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.

If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.

Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.

Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.

You almost never have strap problems in public.

You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.

Everything on your face stays its original color.

The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.

You only have to shave your face and neck.

You can play with toys all your life.

One wallet and one color for all seasons.

You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.

You can "do" your nails with a pocket knife.

You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.

You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.

No wonder men are happier.

dunno

first im so sorry about all this coming down on you at one time, thats alot for a person to try and deal with...without the holidays coming. how old are your girls? i feel special now, i get to share my bday with ur daughter.
dont give up hope yet, there is still time for things to happen before christmas whether it be in ur control or not. have u tried through the girls school or the toys for tots organization (not sure if thats through ur salvation army or not, ours isnt) you have a couple weeks left before u need to add that extra worry to urself.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers...
My oldest will be 16 On Christmas Eve and my little one will be 9 in January! Salvation army is the Clearing house here...You HAVE to apply though them. Then Toys for tots donates the toys to the families. Yeah, I know I shouldnt stress....but I cant help it. I have wish lists coming in and dont have the heart to tell them that its next to impossible! arrghhh....this was supposed to be a SWEET 16 birthday and its gonna be sour~!

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate your thoughts!

Ok....since my only real life is online, I simply must vent to my online friends!

The week before Thanksgiving we got laid off, and have yet to return to work. The same day, my dad goes into the hospital yet again....and this time its not good, He started dialysis today and that is our last hope. Today my mom who has cancer finds out that she has pneumonia.....so on top of chemo, she really feels like crap! As if I need to continue........my daughters birthday is Christmas Eve and I wont have the money for her party due to the layoff. next comes Christmas and that means TWO sad little girls when they find nothing under our tree. So I call the Salvation Army who does help families with Christmas to see if I can get some help, only to find out that they quit taking applications YESTERDAY!....Im at wits end and I dont mind saying that I just dont know what to do at this point....crying

sorry to dampen the mood......but I need some cheerin up!sigh

I feel bad for ya, but 3 months of talking online and you love this person? Dont get me wrong, I know you can fall deep for people without meeting them.....but this person could have been a child molestor, rapist, or even worse a preacher (joking) but seriously, maybe you should slow down on falling "in love" with online people so that this doesnt happen again.

Make some hot chocolate, turn on the tv, and forget about it......

hug

Did it once, never again. Bunch of vicious and looney people go out on Friday (of course theres us nice people there too), but man I've never been shoved so many times in my life.

ANYWAY, my butt will be up, but I volunteered to work so the people who had to go out of town for Thanksgiving didn't have to be picked to work. (Volunteer basis, not enough volunteers, they pick people)
That was nice of you to volunteer....Im sure others appreciate that! Yeah, I'll be back home before all the craziness starts. I adopted a family of 6 this year so I gotta get some kinda deal!

Meijers has Polly pockets regular price is 19.99 on sale for 7.49 and I have coupons for $5.00 off....so that will take care of a couple girls!!

But Im not camping outside in Michigan just to buy something that is on sale!
