Reminds me of something that happened to me in several years back, when we had the unfortunate luck of 3 back to back hurricanes. Anyhow, a couple of us had decided to grab our chainsaws and go to some of the areas outside of city limits and clear trees from the roads and driveways from neighborhoods that were deemed by the "people in charge" to be at the bottom of the priority list. We had just cleared a tree that was down across the main road, that had essentially blocked all access, when we noticed trees across several driveways and decided we would clear those so these people could actually leave their homes. Of course, we had gathered a crowd of onlookers , many of whom offered us bottled water, food, etc. Anyhow, I was in the process of just starting to trim branches from a tree, when the owner made a comment that it was about time that people got off their asses and got to work, at which point I stopped and replied that we did not work for the county, but figured we could at least help out, thus our being out here. His comment - "You mean stupid rednecks arent lazy after all?" I think my southern accent gave it away laugh Well, being the nice person I am, I just picked up my saw, and told him to have a nice day. Of course, I was called many colorful names after that. I never did find out how long the tree stayed there mumbling

As it turns out, we were in Wal-mart yesterday, browsing the produce section when the "misters" started up.

I started laughing and told Jackson, "We are not going anywhere near the toilet paper aisle!

Is it alright to bring a NOT-CS friend?

By coincidence I'm in the area in Tennessee with one of my friends, visiting her family and getting to see more of this great country. But it think it would be unfair to just ditch her, even for you guys.

I cant speak for the others, but I personally would not want or expect you to dump your friend, so I would say, bring her alone. The more the merrier is my motto...and besides, I didnt see anything about the friend having to be a CS member wave cheers

Aw damn, this is gonna' be so much fun!!!!

And I'm willing to bet you'll enjoy Sunday, too! But don't worry about the wetsuit - The water's cold, but I've never capsized this canoe except on purpose. (Besides very stable, I've got too much Scots' blood in me to take a chance on losing my fishing gear! )

I am definitely looking forward to it applause ...and I refuse to lose my fishing gear. I will go in after it should something snatch it....boy what a fish tale that would be rolling on the floor laughing

Damn, we're gonna' have to be careful or we'll end up posturing like bucks in rut!

Naw, I've already got the only gal I'll ever need - I'll let you other three studs take care of the rest of the gals while I hide behind m'lady's skirts.

The fits of laughter was about me rolling on the floor laughing In that case, with it being left up to us, I will climb a tree and act normal, and the squirrels will protect me rolling on the floor laughing

Maybe we could use that to our advantage....we can take advantage of the momentary shock that would surely set in rolling on the floor laughing or in my case, fits of laughter rolling on the floor laughing wow!

Yep, know what you mean! Jackson's idea of "roughing it" is a 2 star motel instead of a 4 star hotel. My idea of roughing it is going out with a blanket and a knife and then leaving the blanket behind.

Yep, sounds like me...except the last time, I remembered the blanket......and forgot the knife D'oh! It made for quite the interesting night laugh

Yeah, but it's just in downtown Knoxville - They're about 4 months into a 14 month project to widen I-40 through downtown. It won't affect our get-together.

So I can assume the construction will be after the 275 bypass, because if I am not mistaken 40 and 75 come together on the SSW side of Knoxville? dunno
