I'm just curious, seems i have this problem on here. I know a lot of people simply use the forums, as they have made a lot of friends on here. In any case, back to the subject of this post. I browse profiles, and the forums, many times a day, if i see one i think is interesting, i will send them a flower, and if it really piques my interest, i'll send them an e-mail to go with it. After being here 2 months, one person has responded, that's it. Kinda disheartening, makes me wonder why a lot of people really are here. Granted, i can't be a match with everyone, but i know i can use friends, and would think at least some of these people could as well, and maybe a simple hello would be all it takes to start a friendship, or more. Sorry for the longwindedness, just getting a little frustrated, and wondering if anyone else has these same problems.

I didn't really get through all the pages of this thread, but the ones i read...wow. I'll throw in my two cents worth. The world is full of...every type imaginable. It's our job, our mission, to find what we want. We can't find it till we know what it is that we want. I've been single 5 years. I hate it, but i'm not willing to give up. There's someone out there, who is waiting for me. I don't think there is a "perfect" person from the start. I think you meet "compatible" people, who over time, sharing moments, love, respect and kindness become perfect. Don't hate men, don't hate women, stereotypes are everywhere, and generalizing a sex is not only pointless, its stupid. Love or dislike the individual.

In short yes. I was a "cool guy" in school, till we got to the age where sexuality and physical attractiveness mattered. Then i disappeared, and far as i can tell, i'm still gone. I still have friends, mostly female, because i'm......(sigh) so easy to talk to and such a great guy.

I've been listening to a lot of music lately, as it lets me escape, and allows me to just be free. I have always liked the song perfect situation, by the band weezer, but i really, really listened to the lyrics tonight, and it hit me like a rock. It's me. I'd be lying if i said looks don't matter at all. However, i have found over the years, that my idea of what is physically attractive is not the "norm". Personality is more important, i don't want to be with a pretty woman if she annoys the hell out of me. I made that mistake years ago, and thankfully learned from it.
