I agree!

Anything by Tangerine Dream and the universe has to stop, if "War of the Worlds" is playing. The rock version with Lynott, Essex and Hayward.

That album is one of the coolest things, ever.

You forgot the French. They eat tons of butter, but they eat the "real" thing. Not Oleo.

The Italians have the red wine (which is supposed to be good for you) and olive oil.

Starting Monday, I eat shellfish, tacos, dip my bread in olive oil, slather everything in butter, drink red wine and habla espanol solamente.

Thanks for reminding me about Neil Young. I haven't heard that song in 10+ years.

I have no idea whether or not comments on my photo are enabled. I could care less.

I posted photos so people could put a face to the comments.

If I don't measure up, it's not about my looks.

I'm hard to get along with, I say exactly what I think and sometimes, I'm too blunt.

My looks were never part of the equation. Do you think they are, really?

I am the Queen of Rude. No ambiguity and no stalkers, for years.

It's better than trying to be nice and explain. Just say it.

Would welcome your thoughts on this.

I got a mail from guy welcoming me to Malta and asking if i needed any help with anything, as he was returning to UK for a while and i could stay at his apartment rent free. I replied thanking him but explained i had an apartment and a job and was managing ok. He wrote again asking if i needed help to find a job and i explained i had a job at a holiday resort and said which one, the next day i got another mail saying he had been to the resort but could not see me and would i like to meet up. I started to feel a little uncomfortable about him going to the resort without asking me first , my profile says i am only here for the forums, and i am starting to see someone so i did not respond to his mail.

The next day i got a mail saying how rude i was for not answering after he offered me free accomodation, and somebody with my manners deserved all the bad luck i got !!!

What do you think?????

So he offered a place. Unless you took him up on the offer, what you do is your business. I think he's an ass, for thinking you owe him anything.

Your there on your own power.

I would tell security to rough up the dumb ass. He's one step away from stalker. Don't share so much information, in the future.

in my 30 years I have never been in a relationship with a woman , I have never been close to gilrs, these days I feel a vacuum, which has to be filled by a lady, but confused how to approach a girl, start an interesting conversation and get it going, how to make in roads into a womans heart.........any ideas please?

Your parents haven't lined you up with dates?

If you choose to date on your own, it's not hard. Ask a lady to dinner, make conversation. Ask what she likes, then talk about that.

I had a blind date and we went to an Indian restaurant. I didn't know anything about the food. We ordered mixed stuff and he explained dishes.

(I kept running to the bathroom to blow my nose, because the food was spicy!)

In between me blowing my nose in the ladies' room, and courses, we got to know one another. We went to a jazz joint, afterwards.

I've had worse dates.

We stayed in a motel because of snow. After breakfast, and another chat, I went home.

If it hadn't been a blizzard, I would have left the night before. We talked about his son, music, his marriage and how his son needed a mother. As soon as the snow was cleared, I was gone.

I'm enuf confused now,,....I've never been on look out for a foreign woman for marriage to leave this country............the only advantage i see with them is that on any dating site profiles of american and women from the west are in abundance not many women from my couyntry are here....................

2) I am not a party animal dont socialize a lot so me meeting gals is ruled out........

wish there are more dating sites...with more profiles of indian women....being shy/ reserved kinda guy I like to meet a girl first on such platforms and talk now them better and see ho it progresses form there.......

My daughter dated a young Indian man. His mother didn't like her, even though she went to church with him (Catholic) and even painted his mother's house.

My white daughter was not good enough. Only her grand-mothers had a problem. She was crazy about him, and her parents liked him. She broke up with him, after 3 years.

She started dating another guy, getting married next month. She's been with him for over two years. I liked the ex, better, except for the Mother's insistence that he date an Indian girl.

I used to smoke 10 cigarettes a day, smoke 5 when thinking of quitting.

A heavy day damn near kills me. Pack and and a half. gets me to 5 or, less the next day. I have quit for 2-3 days, after 2 packs.

Even when I smoke like a train, it's 1 and a half packs, 2 if I drink. I can barely tolerate the smell, afterwards.

I can't tolerate the smell, regardless.

REALLY? How many Stephen King books can you read before you figure out you've already read them?

I only ask because I read Stephen King as a pre-teen, teen and knew he was Richard Bachman when I was early 20's. Every book I bought, based on a synopsis and plot was actually Stephen King. They were formulaic, predictable and a waste of my money. Anything that reads like King, goes back on the shelf. He is the epitome of pulp fiction and he's no Isaac Asimov!

Sorry, if you've read it all before.

I like walks on the beach...by myself with a cup of coffee. I like the beach best, by myself, at sunrise. I don't like dealing with people in the morning.

I'm a grumpy bitch with a small kitchen. I don't really eat breakfast. You can make your own. If I feel like it, there might be coffee. Otherwise, fend for yourself.

(If I ever found a guy who made himself breakfast in my kitchen, I would be interested.) Forget the profile, that's my test.

I'm guilty. I don't necessarily read a profile before I respond to notes.

I haven't approached a man, only responded.

Most are international guys from Africa and I'm cynical, to start.

I may be too cynical, bitter and touchy for American men. I even tell the ones I kinda like, to eff-off. I only bother with a profile, if I'm interested.

Most guys profiles don't say much, anyway.

The moment you try to become intelligent, you cease to be intelligent. This is really important, so give your mind to it a little bit. If I am stupid and everybody tells me that I must become intelligent, what generally happens? I struggle to become intelligent, I study more, and I try to get better marks. Then people say, "He is working harder," and pat me on the back; but I continue to be stupid because I have only acquired the trimmings of intelligence. So the problem is not how to become intelligent, but how to be free of stupidity. If, being stupid, I try to become intelligent; I am still functioning stupidly.
You see, the basic problem is that of change. When you ask, "What is intelligence and how is one to become intelligent?" it implies a concept of what intelligence is, and then you try to become like that concept. Now, to have a formula, a theory or concept of what intelligence is, and to try to mould yourself according to that pattern is foolish, is it not? Whereas, if one is dull and begins to find out what dullness is without any desire to change it into something else, without saying, "I am dull, stupid, how terrible!” then one will find that in unraveling the problem there comes an intelligence freed of stupidity, and without effort.
~ Krishnamurti

What a load of crap. Intelligent people always know how much they have to learn. Most intelligent people say they're stupid and know nothing.

Buahaha! I wondered if this was a joke. Check your Zen humour at the door, thanks.

McCain has had serious health issues, including heart attacks. If he died in office, it's possible she could gain the position.

If she took notes from Cheney, everything would be run from the Whitehouse and about 6 people, anyway.

I'm surprised that the Vice President can control cabinet seats and the military, while not being any branch of government. Obviously, it's the catbird seat and we might need to address that issue.

That's a drag they shut down. I miss the days when I could traipse around UCLA, NASA, etc. and just see what they were doing.

When did hacking devolve into vandalism and criminal acts?

The black ass-hats must have teeny endowments and too much time. Otherwise, they'd explore quantum physics and use their powers in a productive way.

Do you think the media was disappointed they didn't get a black hole, as questioned? Like we haven't already run a collider?

Frankly, my dreams are my best sex, I still don't have an orgasm.

In the old days, it was unmistakeable. I bucked like a bronco, during orgasm. I give a warning, after my ex got smacked.

For the OP, I have some sex dreams, no orgasms....i came really close, once. I woke up because it was strange. I hardly ever have sex dreams. Maybe 3 in my life.

oh like you would no. you never been there, but just like you Americans change the subject, we are not talking about Russian people we are talking about how your soldiers are murders.

Maybe some have been. I'm fairly certain Russia has bodies.

Our soldiers get hauled into court and frankly, I want to see 5 people hauled into court. It won't make any difference, but the appropriate War Crime charge would make me feel better about my country.

Even our Generals didn't know anything. Read the Washington Post.

We have to half-way strip, to get on a plane. The next thing is standing to be stripped of clothes, by a machine. While you're rattling off how bad America is, we live it.

Our soldiers should be at home. What's the difference between war-time and murder?

Am I the only one who remembers Qhaddafi? He had a terrorist group blow up planes, embassies...WTF?

This is not about any political side, or what you would consider as torture like wheather or not you agree with waterboarding. I am asking would you do, what you do consider to be torture If.... you were A" field commander, through general, or the pesident (pertaining to terrorists) or what you would consider terrorist? Lets say it was in theater, and you captured some terrorists( or suspected terrorists) lets say, during an attact. and you had reliable resourses, in which you trusted, that said that were more attacks planned on your soilders for that day. Beings that your soilders' have confidence in your ability to keep them out of harms way, whenever possible, and that they are like your own family, or are closer to you than family. would you torture any of those captured, to try and get info. to help save any of YOUR men and women, that put THEIR life on the line for you everyday.

1)OK lets say you did torture them, and got no info of any kind that was useful, and an attack never occured, how would you be perceived by your soilders, and by public opinion?

2)OK now lets say you did torture them, and got good info. and prevented 100 of your soilders from dying. How would your soilder's preceive you, and what do you think the public will say, or preceive you as?

3)OK Now lets say you didn't torture them, and no further attacks happened to your soilders. obviously your soilder's and the public would preceive you well.......

4)OK now lets say you didn't torture them, even though you trusted your sources, that there was another attack planned that day. You still didn't torture them. and an attack happened that killed 100 of your men and women. And it comes out that you had reliable info. that the (suspected terrorists) that you had in custody had info. that would of saved 100 of your men and women. How would your fellow soilder's preceive you, and would they ever trust you again. because their lives rely on YOUR judgements, and how would the country's public preceive you?
Well Obviously hind sight is 20/20 and it is easy for us to sit in our houses safe and sound, over a thousand miles away, after the facts have come out and place blame and cast judgements, If you put yourself in THEIR shoes at that time what would you have chose... Then lets say You were the President and that scenerio happened here... .... Would you handle the situation differently? If it could be your freinds, neighbors, or son, or daughter that might be at risk because of where they lived or worked...... Then how would your family, freinds, and the general public preceive you in each of the situations?

I don't expect anyone to really anwser every question, it's just something to think about, because it is possible and it is amazing how people will judge the same thing differently all depending on the outcome.
I would just like your thoughts, I just don't feel most people have actually thought about it in a realistic standpoint in our country and I would love the whole nation to consider this Reality before casting judgements...

Me, personally I can't judge anyone for either anwser, and in all honesty I have no idea what I would do, I would love to say if put in that situation, I would NEVER torture anyone, but I don't know if that would be the truth.. WHAT SAY YOU...... I thought about this when watching the all the presidental debates earlier this year, and I just remembered about what question I wanted to send in, but I didn't have a computer....... Sorry for the novel ya.

Dude, get over yourself. I would torture you, to get to the frigging question, at this point! I think most would agree with me.

WTF are you on about? Frankly, if you ever had a point, I no longer care.
