I don't know. I don't think it's right that she doesn't remember her kids birthday. Why would she want her son to meet you at the same time she is meeting you. I wouldn't want to get my kids involved until i knew there was an ongoing relationship. Sounds a little strange to me.

Well what's on the inside is what is going to make the lasting impression. However, I would really like to see you without the hat and clean shaven. Stand tall and be proud/confident. I like to look at a man who is proud of who he is and doesn't hide behind things. Dress up a little and get my attention. Then, let me get to know you. I really want a man who is kind, caring, loving, a gentleman. I still like the old fashioned stuff. You know, treat me like a lady.
Let me ask you, don't you look at the women first to catch ur attention? Maybe it's not right but the first thing we see, whether we want to admit it or not, is the person's body type and how they carry themselves. It's that old first impressions stuff, again.
Don't get me wrong, I know it's what's inside that counts, but be realistic. People notice.
