Last Oct., I was deemed by my doctor as disabled due to Spinal Chord Stenosis. I applied for disability benefits. Today my claim was turned down. I have been told that here in Ontario, they automatically reject 90% of claims, (hoping you'll go away) yet at the same time they offer a free lawyer to appeal your claim. Governments, for the people ? WTF ?

It has nothing to do with thinking negative........ just out of concern for people that are vulnerable and being missed diagnosed or given the wrong advise based on information passed back and forth via the internet. Call it being practical........ not self centered, scared or with a negative attitude.

On another site, there were a group of parents dealing with trying to date and looking after a child/children/or aging parent that has a disability.

Some posted what they were going through or asked questions on how to deal with dating or just trying to have a social life.

The discussions or posts people gave were very interesting and varied. Parents dealing this situation or not, responded.

I am very interested in the opinions and feelings the people on this site have regarding this subject.

We are. And we (nor anyone else, I believe) haven't spoken a word about that night with her. Sometimes the best thing for a victim is the loss of that memory. Who would want to relive a horrible thing like that?

I definitely will. My friend & I... along with some others... are wondering if he didn't PUSH her.

We went to visit her in the hospital the other evening. I can't believe she lived through it! They had had her sedated for a few days, because she kept trying to pull the tubes out when they'd bring her to. But when we visited her, she was actually awake! She actually doesn't look bad! She lost a front tooth & is swollen. She broke several ribs, ruptured her spleen, messed up her kidney, & had lacerations on her liver. I felt sooo bad for her!

Her boyfriend was with her when it happened. We're very suspicious of what possibly happened. We were out the night after it happened & saw him there with another girl. My friend called the police & left the investigating officer know this.

When we left her room, I told my friend, "I HATE him!!!" I asked why he wasn't there with her & my friend told me he's not allowed there.

Please pray for her. She's 26 & has an 8 year old daughter. She's going to have a loooong road to recovery!

There are certaian songs which bring back memories which either stop me cold in my tracks, or just give me goosebumps as these are nice memories

first off keep in mind that everything I am writting is what I am hearing from my friend.
Maybe advice form another female would be best considering it involves a girl

A friend of mine met a girl then 6 moth's later they started seeing each other. He left his ex wife and lived with a friend, in the summer he was suppose to rent the basement from another friend, to be precise, a girl.

This girl he going out with told him she dosen't want him living in another women's house and asked him to move in. She owns the house, He told me he is giving her 700$ per month plus pays all the groceries for him her and her daughter and anything she needs for the house he usualy goes half on.
No he did not put his name on the mortgage.

one month he had three pay checks and she had a fit that he did not give her anymore then the 700 dollars????

I was curious about her mortgage and he says she pays like 450 a month, she lives in quebec.
he has come to me for advice and I am confused so here is what is happening.

He has been there since last april, he tells me that every time they argue she makes him sleep in another room, sometimes for days. She asked him to pay for half of her property tax bill as well? what is that? He tells me he drives her to work in his van and picks her up and she says to him that she does not like being seen in an old van and she is embarassed. what's with that? He ha told so many things.

Just an example, looks like she has been saying comments such as, well isn't nice that you move in here and everything is ready for you, you use my furniture etc.???

There is more but it goes on. But I think I wrote enough.

It seems to me that she is looking for a live in partner for financial gain and not a boyfriend to care for?
I find it very selfish of her?

before I give him advice on this. what are your thoughts.

I can add more info if you need to know more. But Just what I said here makes me sick in a way.

I think she is using him and is very materialistic. what d you think? should he jump ship now or?

Basically, this bill will allow those who are going thru or have gone thru a sex change to use the bathroom for the sex they are changing to.

One thing wrong with this bill is if you have a daughter who is in the girls restroom or locker room, some pedophile can walk in dressed as a woman and get away with it.
