I'm not sure I agree with your premise. If that's the case, nothing would ever go down in price. That does happen.

Maybe prices go down but I assure you it is not because of a combined effort to use less.. If you have to cover your expenses for selling something and the market for it goes down what other choice would you have but to raise prices? Well, maybe go out of business.

we create a demand, we pay the price.

In more ways than one. If everyone did manage to cut their demand for gas, utilities, food. Do you think the prices would go down??? Not likely. Prices would have to be raised to cover the decrease.

I think this addressing common law marriage where people have been together for so long it is recognized as a valid marriage with all the perks that come with it. You can't have your cake and eat it too. If you don't care that you or your kids won't be taken care of if your husband dies, so be it.

I read in the paper where they are trying to make common law marriages valid. But if the people in these unions don't care, why should there need to be a law to protect what they don't care about?

Its the duty of both to look after each other, but when a primary responsibility of a woman shift to a man, then I wonders who takes care of whom

So God forbid if sickness enters the picture. I guess then she would be good for nothing and worth leaving for a more "equal" relationship.

Photos and documentation go a long way in a court.

This is very true. When I went to court for my divorce, it was horrible to listen to my ex lie. I thought to myself, OMG that lie sounds like something someone could believe. It boils down to which side the judge believes and he might just believe that lie. Luckily I had pictures of my bruised and swollen face to show the judge and I was granted my divorce.

I returned and saw under the sun,
that the race is not to the swift,
nor the battle to the strong,
neither yet bread to the wise,
nor yet riches to men of understanding,
nor yet favor to men of skill,
but time and chance happeneth to them all

I was sorry to hear that CD 101.9 went off the air in NJ. I always listened to that smooth jazz station when I lived there and when I went back for a visit.

If you want to hear the station again, IT'S DOWN HERE in SC LOL 92.3 FM Nice change from all the religious and country stations I was getting used to.
