Hey - what do you say to a new game on songs? Plenty of folks around here seem pretty good at them! cool

Ok, it goes like this: First person writes a well-known part of a song, for example one or two lines from the chorus. If they want to make it easier, they can also state the name of the singer.

The next person then continues the song where the first person ended it - by one or two lines, for example. Then he/she writes a few lines from another song.

And so on. The game will be harder with less clues, and easier with more clues and info. professor

cheering Here we go:

(Creedence Clearwater Revival did this one)
'There is a house in New Orleans,
they call the Rising Sun'...

(and the next poster continues the song from there, one or two lines)

Yes... love to do that in the right places... But while in our lovely park here, it's not really realistic... too many birds around - which make this friendly schnauzer turn into 'Molly the Bird Slayer'... and since we would like to be able to return to the park, I try to avoid any bird incidents... although the dog has not yet realized that the birds are too fast for her... she is still young and naive. laugh

I don't have a white flag... I might use a toilet paper roll as a flag.... all I have is a proper pirate's flag

I need a mast to hang it on to..... I wonder if that's illegal

professor

EU sea regulations clearly state that, while on EU waters, flying the 'Jolly Roger' (pirate flag) or a roll of toilet paper is perfectly permissable - in the context of danger and emergencies.

And a small row boat looking for a safe harbour and in desperate need of food and drink for the crew - in the form of wine and chocolate - sounds like an emergency, if ever I heard of one!

Good Morning NINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

Hope you are feeling better.

Go and buy something for yourself. I find it a good therapy.

Thanks, Marti! Yes, been keeping busy the last couple of days - driving very long distances, seeing friends - and sorting out buraucratic paperwork; certain to take your mind off other things!!! frustrated

Shopping is always good therapy, I agree! I read that it is actually in the female genes - has to do with the old 'gatherer' thing - whenever we can accumulate things for our families and our homes, we fell happy. Now is that a great excuse to shop 'til you drop, or what?! grin

I don't usually feel lonely and when I do I unlonely myself by visiting a friend

what I do feel sometimes is down when things just seem to pile up... kicking trees is not enogh so I just mop around and feel sorry for myself for a while till I decide to get a move on.

when I'm down, I don't really feel like talking to people much.

have some chocolate ...

You're right, DF - kicking trees in this situation just doesn't do it... Although - perhaps if I do it barefoot?... hmm. uh oh!

On the other hand - Chocolate!! Of course!!! Tried it! Lots of it! It worked!! grin

1) Keeping busy... Always a good idea!

2) Walking... Excellent (especially when you have the company of a perky little dog (well, that will do for now...))!

3) CS... Always great!

4) Counting your blessings... Both humbling and helpful!
