Years ago a friend had a large Boa Constrictor. He used to feed it rats he bought at the pet store. One day he want on vacation and while he was away, the landlord turned off the heat to his apt. Well the snake went into a funk from the cold but the rats being warm blooded were as active as ever. Somehow the rats escaped and they must have been hungry cause the got into the snakes tank and ate the snake.

I guess what goes around, comes around. I like to think those rats really enjoyed that meal.

Very few Americans are familiar with the "Carry On" films but I thought they were some of the funniest movies ever made.

Always loved "The Day the Earth Stood Still"... and "In the Heat of the Night"... also, many Jack Lemmon movies. Had a crush on Katherine Hepburn, too.
Add to that "Have gun , Will travel"
You have good taste in movies.handshake

Have you seen "The days of wine and roses"?

The movie's I loved as a kid was The wizard of OZ and King Kong

ok....I went out with this guy from here and he is a cop
Well we have only been on two dates but I can tell he is really into me and unfortunately Im not the same into him

I dont think it would be hard for me to say sorry no but i am having a hard time Im new to dating and this is my first kinda of no thanks sorry bye.....
I shouldnt be hard but he was already thinking stuff to do for Christmas, and my birthday....ONLY FROM TWO DATES

What do I do since this threat is about dating advice...how should i let him down without hurting him but show its over
Well, the important thing is to not string him along or just ignore him. Let him know in no uncertain terms that you are not interested in him romantically. Tell him he has a lot of good qualities but you simply don't feel any chemistry with him. The longer you wait the harder it's going to be to do. Be gentle but firm and don't say anything that dimishes him as a man.

Do you have any gf's that have expressed an interest in him? If so, tell him! That would do wonders for his ego at a moment when his ego will need a boost.

It's important to shut this relationship down firmly so he can move on and not keep hoping and waiting for something that's not gonna happen.

Last Friday I woke up with a pain in my left shoulder blade. I thought it would go away by itself but it has only gotten worse. The pain has expanded to my left arm and is severe. I went to the Dr today at 1PM. I got a RX for pain pills & a powerful anti inflamatory. It hurts to sit at this keyboard so I won't be hanging out here as much for a while. This site has become a second home to me and I will miss you all for a while til I get back to normal.
I'll post any updates as I can.

I like Tracy for a forst name, it goes very well with Titus ie Tracy Titus. For a middle name I like Ann or Lynn.

Tracy Ann Titus

Tracy Lynn Titus

with 2 syllable first & second names a single syllable middle name has a nice meter to it.

wow !ooby dooby wow !

i say wow because love the way you describe the film with the amout of words you use for people that had;nt seen the film

i had'nt seen the film but will do now !

does tom cruise star in the film ?

No Tom Cruise isn't in it.

This movie was made in 1954 by Akira Kurosawa and stars Toshirô Mifune who you may remember as Lord Yoshi Toranaga from the TV mini series "Shogun"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047478/

Well gilly you asked for a description so I wanted to do the best job I could. You may have trouble finding this film but if you succeed you will not be disappointed. BTW it's listed #10 on IMDB's top 250 films of all time.

In my opinion the greatest movie of all time is "The Seven Samurai". It's about a farming village in 15th century Japan where the farmers are getting tired of being robbed every year by bandits, leaving them barely enough food to get through til the next harvest time when the bandits return and rob them again.

They decide to fight back by pooling whatever they can ill afford to spare and hire as many samurai as possible to fight off the bandits.

This is the movie that inspired "The Magnificent Seven" which pales by comparison. For one thing, the Hollywood knockoff was a shallow technicolor farce where the "7" had guns & horses whereas the Samurai had neither. The Japanese movie was 3+ hours long, filmed in glorius Black & White with English subtitles. Most people today wouldn't even consider watching a movie like this, but this is a movie that will grab you within 10 minutes and you won't be able to turn away til the end.

I'm curious, has anybody here seen it?

In the US we have what are called "Sentencing Guidelines". I would like to see these abolished because it over rides the judges discretion and doesn't take mitigating factors into consideration.

A man stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family is not the same as a man stealing a loaf of bread and selling it at a tag sale.

In response to:
I did talk to a scammer for a long time. I knew he was a scammer but I just wanted to see how it worked and how long it would be for him to get around to the money thing.
They are on assembly scammer lines in
South Africa, meaning they come into work each day and talk to someone that has already been contacted. You never know which of the workers is sending you the message. They seem to forget what they said the day before(because they were not the ones who wrote the message the day before). They do not read the previous messages sent to you before sending another. I carried my comservation on for over three months. Laughing all the time. The money offer finally came. He actually sent a check for over $11,000, but said he made a mistake and sent too much and wanted me to return some of it. He kept stressing for me to put it in my bank account. I carried the check to the local law and they said to tear it up. I thought they would have done something but they were not interested. So I kept the check lol. The man finally told me that he canceled the check, then I heard no more from him. I saw his coppied model pictures on another profile later and sent a message saying hey it is me again. lol I got no answer.
Thank you for that info I just learned something. I can picture an internet cafe with a bunch of men sitting in front of their monitors going through "copy & paste" operations all day posing as drop dead gorgeous women pledging their undying love to men all over the world. Or posing as athletic hunks who are attracted to "mature" women. I guess if they make 1 score a day for $1,000 it is worth the effort.

This is such an important thread. Keep the stories coming.

There is a definite pattern to these scams.

Men! If you are involved with a woman from a former iron curtain country who seems "too good to be true" you owe it to yourself to check out this site. You will be amazed at the extent of this "business". Many gullible lonely men have been wiped out financially by these scammers.

http://www.womenrussia.com/blacklist_summary3.htm#Archive3

I don't know if there's a site for male scammers but if you ladies know of one, please post it.

Oh one more thing. A lot of these "women" don't speak a word of English. They type in their native tongue and use a translation program to translate into English which explains why you need to read it 2-3 times to make any sense out of it.
