Imagine the situation... The woman goes out on a date with the guy she met on the web. They seem to have a nice small talk for 5 hours. When the say goodbye to each other, the man says that he doesn't know when he would be able to have another meeting. Then he doesn't call her or anything. She finds him attractive but of course is not sure if he liked her. 2 weeks pass by but he still doesn't give a sign of life, but she cannot forget him... Should she wait for any message from him or maybe give him a call (if yes, what should she say?) or forget about him 'cos obviously he's not interested in her...?

One of them sooner or later will have to take a decision to relocate... if they really want to be together. Relationship between the couple who live so far away cannot move on if they cannot see each other. With time it can break up, even marriages split up when a person works in another country! How can you get to know the person you love if you can't spend time together! Via internet you will not find out if the partner is right for you. And who said you must look for a dream job???!!! Everybody would like to do a job like that but for many of us it only remains a dream!!!! Anyway, usually financial factor wins in the end as far as work is concerned.

As to these couple, they should ask themselves what is really important for them in life and they should not be afraid of taking chances. The Americans say: "God help those who help themselves". They should take the bull by the horn and start any action and then see what happens. And mistakes are natural in life. If they don't try to live together in one country and one city they will never find out if their love is true!

The person who should move to another country should be the one that has better job perspectives; it would be pointless to leave your country in the name of love and then go somewhere else and earn much less. Or they might choose the country to live where they both could have good job prospects! Compromise is important here...

Well, Internet means anonymity and it's fairly easy to somehow "colour" your own personality. That's one of the disadvantages of this medium. Luckily, meeting face-to-face and spending time toghether verifies the information about the person and ...... says it all. In case of women there's always a very useful tool in your fight with potential liars - intuition!

However, I could add something to your list of liars - men who initiate live chats and at the very beginning they ask you questions like "Could you move to.... and start a new life with me?" That's pathetic! And when you explain to that freak that you cannot plan life with a complete stranger... they instantly take French leave and off they go....

Sometimes I provoke such men to further discussions (just for fun), but I hate such type of chats. I like chatting online 'cos I can practise my English or German, but I'm interested in small talk...

I get the feeling that some people who put comments on these cartoons took the pictures too seriously. However, it can be just a joke or something that might spark a controversy.

The role of man and woman within a marriage is a tricky subject. Traditionally, the male role was dominant, but the Emancipation Movement added a new meaning.

My view is that it all depends on what both parties (husband and wife) agree upon and if they're happy in a marriage. It's connected with specific features of character. Some men have nothing against when the wife wears the trousers as well as some women accept the role of wife presented in the picure titled "Wife of Yesterday". And it's nobody's business to poke one's nose into other people's lives!
