Morning all

Earl's going in for his Inguial Hernia surgery today at 1:30pm and I get to wait on him hand & foot for at least a couple of days..I'm sure he won't take advantage of that...right

I would have put up a thread last night, but we went on our Anniversary Date to the Drive In and saw "Wanted" with Angelina Jolie and "Hancock" with Will Smith since Earl is house bound after today for about 1-2 weeks.

This Drive In is the best, Two Great Recent Movies for only $5.00 for each person in the car, so we had a $10 date which included eating Dinner out with two food gift certificates I got from some of the students on my school bus last year. Money's tight right now for us like it is for everyone else. That's okay...we'll try to go on a cruise next year for our Anniversary.

Hancock....Great Movie
Wanted....Too Much Foul Language ( I can take some, just not every other word)
Shelia's review.

Earl enjoyed both movies

Drive In movies are my Favorite!

I'll check back in before leaving for the surgery center. He has to be there by 11-12 noon.

Take care everyone,
Shelia

I wouldn't do that to you sweetheart wink

Many prayers headed upwards on your behalf. Maybe you could talk the laughing gas folks into letting you make a few sub-conscious suggestions while he's still under? Heck, you never know - maybe he'll have to be your nurse some day and can use the "advice"!

I'm sure everything will work out and he'll be back up and working in no time at all.

All our best!Don & Jackie

Thank You Ladyhug

He needs to hurry and get well. His youngest son is coming down in two weeks and Earl will need to go back to work ASAP, so we can feed him. He's a teenager and eats like he's got a bottomless pit...like most teens...I'm really looking forward to him coming down...maybe he'll straighten his father out a little for mewink

Take care,
Peacheslips

His hernia in located in the crease of his right leg and pelvic area, up towards his hip is the best way I can describe the location.

Just remember how very "slow" men can be about just about anything...sorry fellas...I'm sure it's not all of you that are slowrolling eyes

Joanie, give them some time...they don't want to seem desperate I guessdunno

I think it's great to send a flower or brief email if you find a gent interesting. I know they love the attention probably as much as ladies, and when I see a CS gent or lady whom I want to send a compliment, I send a flower/email.

Earl sees all that I send and he knows my sweet nature to compliment others and say "hello". I do it when we greet people in Home Depot, the grocery store, or wherever...just who I amconversing

Take Care Sweet Lady,

Hi Sweetie!

I hadn't even thought about music - although I almost never go anywhere without at least one harmonica - but I'll mention it to my better half and see what she thinks. Right now, it sounds like a good idea. (But then again, I'm rather sore and heavily medicated just now. )

I agree, Daniel.

Well folks, I'm back home again (unfortunately, due to another pancreatitus flare-up!) and I'm tickled to see so many responses.

Jackson has kept me up to date on developments and I'm still (in spite of being slightly under the weather) very excited about this upcoming event and I continue to believe that we can really make this happen! And if it turns into an annual event, then so much the better!

Right now, at a rough guess-timation, it looks like we've got about 8 or 9 "definites" (might be one or two that I missed) and half a dozen "maybes."

The location is now looking more and more favorable for Norris Lake Dam State Park/campground - it's beautiful, very easy to reach (About 20 minutes north of Knoxville on I-75, exit 128, 2 1/2 miles south on Hwy 441 to the entrance of the park.) and free with no reservations required.

If the lovely Jackson (and the $%$#$#! pancreatitus) will allow me, I will do some legwork in the next few days and get things zero'ed in -- might even be able to supply a few photos if anyone is interested.

We will do this, folks! It'll be tons of fun and a chance to put voices to faces to personalities and go from "cyber aquaintances" to lifelong friends !

So come on and join the fun!

...Don... P.S. Jackson and I have both sent out several e-mail invitations, but we might have missed some, so if ya'll think of someone you know that maybe hasn't seen the thread or just hasn't been online for a bit, then feel free to send 'em an email invite on our behalf! The more the merrier -- and the sooner we can get a "count" on who's coming, the quicker things will come to fruition.

Many thanks to all the friends here on CS who have shown interest in this and kept things going in my absence. The Kansan

Thanks to you both for working so hard to bring this event "TO BE."yay

We Appreciate Youhug
