I know for me the first time I left him do it but went where there was no one around and explained to him that when he was done and presentable in public we would finish what I had to do and then would leave but was not all about him.

In a restaurant well we did leave with Take out one time he did not believe would do this but he saw that I did so now better there also.

I think we should as parents make them understand that when we say something that is what it will be. I do not believe in hitting my children but I think the lost of priviledges and then the talking to them and explainning even if need more than one time is the best.

This is just my view and my method and seemed to work ok with my oldest son. The baby got to see my oldest son and seems to follow what he does and rememeber at times bringing something for them to do is a good thing because they do get bored fast when not involving them ok. Get them to help also does wonders in public places

I've never been farther east than Manitoba, but someday I will check it all out. Have been considering taking some French classes before I do that anyway so I could make the most of it.
French is always good to have but here we are bilingual so will have no problem neither with just one language

and its not just the acadians that can party, we anglaphones can hold our own too....lol.

the secret to a good party is to keep it in the kitchen.....that way you are always close to the food, the fridge and the blender!!
That is so true LOL I think it is just our way to do things

Oh and could it be the fact that some of those you met were "acadians" because if so us acadians have a knack of knowing how to party!

I know this is her question but will answer in my perspective lol And she won't mind. She is my friend

I guess we are just more down to earth here. We appreciate things in life more and more out going and accepting. We don't take things for granted and enjoy life to the fullest.

Thats what I think anyways...Now Paulette what do you think? LOL
I do agree

Everyone I've met from the east coast has always been the life of the party. Great people, good attitude, very sociable. My question is: where did you people learn how to party so well? Is it genetic?
Well I do agree with Katine76. I think for me I started to be into a party mood since I was young. Just a regular familly gathering always turned into a party. I am from a big familly so when we all got together used to play music and have fun.

Do you have a fondest memory,if so what is it?
Yes I do but seems that it is more than one but always at the same time I think the best memory for me is all the xmas we had when I was younger. Things have changed in the last few years but those are still what I would like to have for xmas each year
