I know its not exotic, but I'd visit Asheville NC again and again and again. I'm not very well travelled, but nothing in my travels has ever compared to the scenery, but more importantly, the people. Down to earth and beautiful, what more can one ask for.

Biden does have experience on many levels and would be an excellent president, but when all is said and done, it will be a woman or an african american that will be president. It will be a democrat, Bush has so severely wounded the republican party that it will take at least a decade for the party to recover.
Which one will become president is really tough to figure given the very partisan nature of your politics.

A) Hillary becomes president, great choice, an incredibly intelligent person that deserves a platform. But what price will she pay for the baggage (Bill) that she has to drag with her?

B) Barack becomes president, its a lovefest, but does it have substance?

Either way, as long as Bush is gone, its all good applause

Socially acceptable???
Who cares, if it works for you?
The socially acceptable thing is at least an aberration.

If a world contains a woman like Blanca that is bored, its a shitty world that needs to be fixed. (in his best impersonation of Marvin Gaye), "Lets Get it On".

Shouldn't have been there in the first place. Get out, tuck your tail between your legs and go home.

Even Alexander couldn't make it work, and damn, shithead(bush) isn't even in the same plane as that guy (not even in his wildest dreams).

Stupid guy, stupid idea, mismangement of assets, shit, where do I stop here.

My most embarrassing was the first time I met my wife (no, not with her anyumore but).

Her friends that I knew and my friends set us up. Her problem was that no one would want her with 3 kids, my problem was being seriously shy. It was a disaster.

But at the end of the evening I asked her if we could do this again without all the bullshit/friends around.

We did, it worked out. We eventually got married.

The rest is another story for another thread. :)

Yeah, this is a very tough one. But what if it was right and you didn't jump?

And of course, what if you did jump and it was wrong.

And then again, this is one of those, at the ripe old age, sitting on the porch in the rocking chair at the end of your days saying to yourself "what if".

Damn, that is my worst fear, sitting in that chair recounting all the times I "should have" and counting all the times I "didn't".

I've already got my list of those people so that when I have the cabin and the rocking chain, I can recount them.

Seems to me most strange that man (sic), fearing death, a necessary end, will come when it will come.

Thats a quote.

This happens to me all the time Opus, there is the inflection in the voice, the spark in the eye, and none of it can be understood in simple words. But having said that, we need somewhere to start eh?

I think you should tell them and tell them right away.
I had a friend at work, we would go out after work for a drink or for dinner, her, I and others from work. We would always be the last ones to leave and often shared a cab home, we lived close to each other.
She had a boyfriend but it was blatently obvious that it wasn't working for her, but I tried to be a friend/gentleman. Last april she found out she was pregnant and is now extremely unhappy about the circumstances. They have been together for 8 years, no engagement ring (and obviously no proposal), they have never even lived together, well until now to share the child care.

I saw her about 3 months after she learned she was pregnant and she said "When we shared that cab home on *that* evening and I asked, 'what's next', why didn't you invite me up, my life would be completely different".

WOW! Talk about regret, I wanted to in a big way but knew she was with someone else, damn I hate being proper sometimes.

I haven't been here long enough to have a crush, but I have my eye on one. But as far as not being able to have 'em. Maybe actually having to get into a relationship with someone would upset that perfectly balanced manicured world that you've manufactured for yourself. Yeah, turn the computer on, spit out a few paragraphs, and when it gets heavy, turn the computer off. Its too damn easy to do eh?

And then again, I might be completely wrong.
