My great grandmother was married to a man ten years younger. He adopted the two children she had from her first marriage and they had 3 more together. It worked out fine. I think 10 years either way is reasonable and workable, more that that is difficult but I suppose is workable depending on the couple. I think older women are sceptible about what a younger man really wants from them. Some older women don't want to re-marry and are looking for a nice man to hang out with and a nice relationship, and a younger man could just fit the bill. Other women are looking for committment and a life time with someone.

I think it's very possible. My question is can a younger man actually fall in love with an older woman? It's a scarey thing to ponder for women my age. We go into it with our guard up, being told & convinced that they aren't playing games. Then when you finally let your guard down, they disappear.

Its time for all of us to sit up straight..make everyone feel welcome...

Old and New...

Lets all learn a thing or two..we might all be surprised
I don't know who has been here for a long time or not...maybe people just leave because the time is up...for whatever reasons, they want to move on. Yes, we should be welcoming and respectful of new people, especially when they present a thoughtful and honest demeanor. And this guy has certainly done that. Kudos to him.!!

could it be that men can take things with humor and have the fun that females claim to have

(i am not saying all men or all women)

My point is primarily that given the thousands of years of oppression, and the continued bias agains aging women...it isn't really a matter of having a sense of humor....in the same way that the 'n' word will never be acceptable...some things just are not funny and can't be because not only of historical issues, but those that continue.

Most women have great senses of humor....but do not laugh at things that cut too deep in an area that has been injured over and over again and has not had the opportunity to heal.

For me: (I don’t know in which particular order they belong; perhaps they are all equally important.)

1. personal dignity
2. ethical
3. intelligent
4. sense of humor
5. loving (meaning love in general and lover) thumbs up
