Honestly it is the way they hold themselves. I think it is in hopes that I can learn from them and find companionship in something deeper than just meaningless sex.

To answer your question... Some days I think I need so little from that person, and then some days it's a list of not just 5, but 505 qualities.... And then someone comes along who has very few of the qualities I thought I needed to like a person, and he's still fascinating and dear... Also, I have no idea what are the foundations of a personality that I might like - others posters list dignity, self-esteem etc, and I guess I just take a lot of these for granted... I also don't think that it's our similar or opposite qualities that make it work - it can really depend on so many things... Sheesh, I obviously can't list the 5 qualities tonight, but one is for sure, I could not be with someone totally devoid of humour...

Have you considered "natural selection" Portiea? Moral statements and judgments are hard to pin down from purely descriptive premises. Describing how things should be (as much as we would love to ideally believe) does not imply that things ought to be that way. What are your thoughts on that?

I do think that our spiritual evolution will lean towards more the emphasis of certain characteristics of what's inside and how we think as our world changes over the course of the next few hundred or thousand years. But for now, it's still dominantly physical in the sense of "natural selection".

With that said, I like my woman tall, any hair color or race will do (ok, I am infatuated with redheads), smart, full of understanding with a top heavy expression of unconditional love, and being very perceptive.
