I've been married for ten years, now im going through a divorce. The Emotions flat lined years ago on both sides of the fence.
So I come here hoping to find a soul mate, which I thought years ago I had. As luck has it I found some one I would like to care about. Problem is she lives ump teen million miles away. Almost to the point for emotion's sake she may as well live in china. We've talked a good deal on the phone, and emailed numerous of times. there a trip planed for me to drive up and see her in a week or so's time.
My problem is I cant stop thinking about her, and the depressed frustration level that I don't live close enough to her to be able to spend any type of quality time and truly get to know her. In place of the vast distance I spend a great deal thinking of this woman, almost to the point its emotionally unhealthy. I say unhealthy because for me its been a LONG time since I've been able to show affection towards some one with out their smart remark, a snide comment or a simple "I hate you" attached' Thus I come out seeming overly sweet and over caring. Emotionally unbalanced is the word at this point. It almost scares me that I come off that way, as I don't want to scare her away. But at the same time to avoid running her off I try to tame the feelings and keep distant (as if the miles aren't enough) by limited my phone calls to her, and the emails, etc..
I suppose im hopeless in that my good sense tells me to run from these feelings, to leave her be, she'd be better off with some one closer to "home" etc..etc.. Generally I'd need no advice but im at a stalemate at this point, do I turn left, turn right, go go strait, or simply turn around and walk away whistling as if I never knew her?
