Yeah, I believe that God has a sense of humor. He is up there in heaven watching us down here typing into space and making space friends, where all we see is typed words for the most part.

In response to:
for me the picture makes no difference...

i have corresponded with many faceless people here and i have made some beautiful beginnings of friendship...what evolves from that communication, well, i will see...

there was a man that wrote to me for months...gently and sensitively he stepped into my mind and then my heart....it is a year later and i have for the first time this week seen his picture....
it meant nothing to me. our communication, shared thoughts and heart and meanderings became far more important than what he looks like..... he is beautiful no matter what he looks like we will know each other most likely for the rest of our lives.....if we meet? that remains to be known... it won't matter either way. the connection exists and we tend to it like a beautiful rose bush.... it will have it's seasons
and we will enjoy the fragrance of our cultivation
That kind of friendship is difficult to find, so cherish it while you have the time.

Who is your favorite talk show host??? What makes them different from all the other talk show host that you have seen??? Dr. Phil and Orpah are my favs. I like Dr. Phil because he is honest, truthful, and he says what he thinks in a kind and thoughtful way. (he doesn't try to be mean - he puts some thought into what he says) I like Oprah because she is a real woman and has dealt with real issues through out her whole life. confused If you has ever seen any amount of her shows, then you would know some of her life history.

Why is it that people always feel the need to warn the newbies? Are we that bad here?

Another semi-Newbie welcoming the newbie. Pull up a chair, dive in.
no, it isn't that bad. but it is easy to take things personally or to take offense because ya know that real people do make up this site.

Is being 'separated' single? It is not single because they are still married, to put it simply.

Women do believe in honesty. There are some women that make it hard on others because the some just want what they want and don't care about anything else, then they move on. Saying that ALL women are the same is ignorant, stupid, and very disrespectful to those who are true to their word and do expect honesty and trust among other things. sigh

In response to:
prettywoman, that song I think is by Trace Adkins. It's called
"Every Light In The House Is On"

"I told you I'd leave a light on
In case you ever wanted to come back home
You smiled and said you appreciate the gesture
I took your every word to heart
'Cause I can't stand us being apart
And just to show how much I really miss ya

Every light in the house is on
The backyard's bright as the crack of dawn
Thr front walk looks like runway lights
It's kinda like noon in the dead of night
Every light in the house is on
Just in case you ever do get tired of being gone
Every light in the house is on

If I should ever start forgetting
I'll turn the lights off one by one
So you can see that I agree it's over
But until then I want you to know
If you look south, you'll see a glow
That's me waiting at home each night to hold ya

Every light in the house is on
The backyard's bright as the crack of dawn
Thr front walk looks like runway lights
It's kinda like noon in the dead of night
Every light in the house is on
Just in case you ever do get tired of being gone
Every light in the house is on"
yes, that is it, i really need to try to remember that.

sorry ed.

When someone is seperated, they are still married. So, really, it isn't single because they are still married. When someone that is separted and you ask them if they are single or married, they will say that they are separted, that tells you that they are married which isn't single.

In response to:
In the south, people tend to be much more polite than in the north. I don't necessarily mean that in a good way, but if you have gone to school in the south, you will realize that it's "yes, ma'am" when you answer questions. At least that was my experience in the 6 years I lived there. In the same way that people have this formality for elders, the elders have a "formal" term for the children, and that can be "Hun," "Honey" gawd, it's been too long to remember what the others were. I think sweetypie was right up there though...but it's basically a term of endearment used by adults when they aren't scolding people like me.
very true, hun.
