Oh yes, I fully realize that - and two people willing to put the effort into getting to know one another.

True enough but how do you find the other person ? You have to sort out your friend material { not really interested in relationships,only here for Forums and making friends } from your possible future partner material. { want a lasting relationship }

Takes time and effort , but hopefully worth it. You wind up with a bunch of non dateable buddies and some sincere candidates.

Wishing lots of flowers,im's and emails.

Whoever marries my daughter one day will probably burn me at the stake thinking it's my fault she's such a nag.

She's been nagging before she could speak. I came home from work one day, she took me by the hand and started pointing and making noises at the windows, where my mother had removed the curtains to wash them. Mom walked up and said "Your child is a nag. She's been doing that all day!" Mom was right. She is a nag.

It was easier when she couldn't talk.

However, I am not a nag.

Could we hook her up in the future with a cartain a$$hole I don't like ?

Would deserve him right.laugh

When my only son was younger too, he wanted to join an army and fly planes and I asked him which of his relatives he wanted to kill first ,mine or his dads. We lived in England and his first posting would have been to Northern Ireland. I gave him lots of material on war to read to give him a broader view on this world we live in and who controls it and to what ends. He was disappointed that I did not like his choice of future career, but changed his mind, and he went on to do other things and is so anti-war now it is unbelievable.

It is no wonder soldiers have to be drugged and end up scarred mentally and physically, if they live at all. No decent, right-minded person could kill people, like soldiers have to, in war situations, hear their screams, watch kids die, even help that happen, and children and women raped and tortured, and be ok about it, without being drugged out of their minds.

It's time we sent the big-mouths in power to the front lines to do their own dirty work...........

I think you did what every Mom would do,keep your kid out of harms way.thumbs up
Let's send our politicians to the front line.

unmedicated.

It is a proven fact that only 4 % of all politicians in the US have their kids in the Service.
confused Come again ?
Yeah, the middleclass and poor send their kids instead.
Time for a change.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Easy question, easy answer.Get rid of the cat or declaw her.I am just responding to your question without reading all the posts.I had a cat ruining my expensive leather furniture.Putting up scratching trees didn't help so did nothing else.Once starting ruining our wallpaper thruout, the decision was made to give her away. She was becoming a liability and moneydrain. We are glad we did .We got another cat which never bothered with destruction and wasa content sleeping on the sofa most of the time, curled up.What a difference.hug

I feel for all the frightened people over there, the sooner it is brought to a close the better. But Iraq cannot be allowed to disintegrate without us rebuilding the infracstructure first.

If that happens we will not be able to hold our heads up in the league of nations ever again in my book.

I thank you for your resonse.
We have been trying to rebuild the infrastructure from the get go but look where it has brought us,your nation included,to date ? When I still lived in Germany I was in and out of US Military Installations working as an U S civilian for the U S Army.I had a very close friend working for a certain U S Agency trying to sign me up going to Iraq as a civilian Contractor rebuilding houses.I considered it since the pay was glorious and I met some of these guys personally returning from Iraq as civilians.I was very impressed then about them buying a house for cash for only 24 months service.I was gung ho and ready to make that cash.In retrospect I am glad that I had good friends and family members talking me out of it.So anyways I have gotten together on a private picnic with the same group again and I noticed 2 guys missing.I was shocked to learn that they were blown up by land mines driving to work in the morning. All the work they did was bombed the same day just leaving holes in the ground behind. So much for reconstructiion. All the pipelines we laid and secured were set on fire. The troops protecting them were ambushed and slaughtered. This craziness is a vicious circle and no end could possibly forseen.

Robbie do you really think we should hold that position ? I wonder what for ?

Pete

It looks to me like all they care about is keeping live bodies on the front lines, never mind their mental status. Never mind the long-term effect of the war on these men. Drug them up and send them out.

Something's WRONG with this picture!!!

Getting my only son,18 years, deployed to Iraq very soon I wonder what this war is all about.Living conditions of Iraquis have worsened, our troops fatality rate has been grown into unexpected numbers and nobody is the wiser or benefits from all this turmoil.I feel like I have failed giving my boy my blessing before he enlisted. What for I wonder, for him to come back a CRIPPLE OR IN A BODY BAG ?
Who would benefit from every lost life ?
I got tears in my eyes typing that.
