I am toying with the idea of perhaps visitng the States some time next year......

Can anyone recommend places over the Pond to visit? Is your neck of the woods worth a peek? I am keen to know the places to visit, things to see and do, and the weather at certain times of the year.....

I would be most eager to experience some of what the Native American culture has to offer. All ideas would be welcomed but I do need to avoid mosquitos where possible.

Hitting North Carolina first Coastal and then inland to the Mountains is definetelly worth a trip.You will find the Cherokee Indian Reservation,with a little Town calles Oja where you will find a decent Hotel cheap.From there you can head to Dollyville Tennesee.Not to far from there but the scenic views of the Smokey Mountains will take your breath away.My favorite escape when I lived in Florida.

This is providing the riff-raff is allowed in, of course....!!

Some time has passed and today, out of the blue.... I get a text message from my last boyfriend!! Completely out of the blue.....

He told me that he had recently passed a place we often went and he recalled happy memories of our times there...... he hoped his message found me happy and well and sent his fondest regards.

I have not heard from him for a very long time..... why now? Its caught me completely off guard and I have been staggered by this, I don't know what to make of it....

Why does he feel the need to contact me at all after so long..... does this indicate some kind of hidden agenda?

He is clearly ecpecting me to respond, even if only out of curiosity.... but why?

It was much the same in Ecuador. When the taxi drivers notice a foreigner they up the price. And will give you every excuss in the book for why their doing. One even told me the $ went up as the day wore on. I told him i'm not dumb, the most your getting is $5, which was $3 more then it should have been.

Well last night, my ex boyfriend texted me and ( we have been apart for just over a year) he asked me too come over to his place, anyway I went over to his place coz it would be the last time I'l see him since I'm off overseas, we're sort of friends, well I still love him, deep down but I'm trying too move on, relationship wise anyway, when I got there we talked and watched a movie, then he asked if I.. you know,,, wanted a bit!!!!! OMG hell yeaah I wanted too!!!!!! but I said no..........WOW that made me proud, because NOW he is not getting what he wants,, so basically after that I said my goodbyes alittle hug and I went --A few months ago.... we had hooked up for fun, now that was my mistake but now I realized .........TAKE my advise and DO NOT hook up with your ex /s
He broke my heart so bad it's not worth it, so stand up with your head high, and be proud!! and don't lok back, because I'm now starting a new chapter in my life

My cousin in Indiana cans every year. This week her & hubby went to Michigan to buy peaches. $29.95 for a half bushel ......

If my memory serves me.... a bushel is the equivalent to 8 gallons (in solid form, of course), so that's...... 4 gallons equivalent.... yeah?

It's true unfortunately...there is a very simple solution....don't buy anything from a small dealer who is hand-weighing your stuff......go buy your stuff from a supermarket if u can....and buy only where u see a price listed.....I also got tired of getting ripped off, and so stopped buying from the small guys....now I make a mental note of the price of everything.....I detest getting ripped off, no matter what the amount....

Because most people are dumb.
