If somebody hurts us and we are sore, we are in the wrong also. What a freedom I felt when this passage was pointed out to me!
Suddenly I saw that I could do something about my anger, I could
fix me, instead of trying to fix them. I believe that there are
no exceptions to the axiom. When I am angry, my anger is always
self-centered. I must keep reminding myself that I am human, that
I am doing the best I can, even when that best is sometimes poor.
So I ask God to remove my anger and truly set me free.

thumbs up

I'm with George Carlin on this. I think the glass is too big. Optimism and Pessimism have a way of ignoring the larger scheme of things, and people's expectations as compared to realities always leads them down one road or the other...but if you balance the two and modify your expectations based on experience, you will end up much happier in the long run...at least, I think so...perhaps I'm being too optimistic?

I beg to differ Optimism and Pessimism have material meanings so in that sense we make our own realities .then if we set a material goal be Optimism ,plan work etc etc n achieve our goal theres no way to know if its "the " reality.but we gotta live in the material world ofcourse so in my opinion as is said in Gita work but dont think of the end result...very hard to digest n practise
