Thanks for the reply. The guy was not married as the weekend was in his place. The ex had taken him for every penny and stripped the house of all the furniture too. I think it really killed him inside. The new guy is very nice and we get on really well and I am relaxed in his company but he does not light up my soul..........I guess I should finish it with him and continue my search....crying

I met a man some months ago. Spent the most wonderful weekend together and between the pair of us and what we said to each other it was love at first site on both our parts. We both admitted getting teary and in a state of shock that it could finally happen at our age. He is 60 and I am 50. But since the meeting he told me he could not see me again as it terrified him, the thought of such an in depth relationship (something neither him nor I have ever really experienced) and was scared he would get very very badly hurt.
I think of him every day. He broke my heart by parting us even before giving us a chance. I am seeing a nice man at the moment but I cannot stop thinking about my lost love.
What should I do???

Lindosbay: Is cyber sex safe?

Please do not encourage it on this site. It is safe of course, but there are a lot of people out there playing out fantasies on the web and there are very specific sites that focus on that need. On this site please, let just keep CS for people serious about finding partners which is hard enough as it is without encouraging that kind of time wasting.

Scubadiva: Late last night, I watched a local show where they introduce single parents. The guy who was featured said he tried an online site for single parents, also went on some dates, but there was no chemistry there. Then he said: "If everyone were completely honest about him-/herself on dating websites, there'd be more successful matches."

Do you agree? disagree?

Truth is perception. How we see ourselves in the mirror each morning is possibly not how others see us. How many of us look at ourselves and see our bad points, our failures? I think most do tell the truth as they see themselves. Besides which, how many products would be sold successfully if the truth were told about them. Not many.

Yes to invasion of privacy but not sure its of much use to criminals. I would also like to know the percentage of crimes cleared up by CCTV cameras, as the UK has more cameras than any other country. They are an invasion of privacy too.

Why should clothes always be dull and conservative?? Liven things up a bit and wear something wacky. Mind you, although I used to dress in some outrageous stuff, I have settled down in my dotage.

chriss: over the meny years there have been meny predictions of the end of the world, the latest one, and one that seams to be moor fear'd is dec 21,2012,

theres meny idea's of what will happen, some think that in the 1980's there was a discovery of a 10th planet in our system called planet x,some belive that the planet isnt in fact in our system but passes through every meny thousands of years causing a very bad effect, this planet as since been called nibiru,as it passes through our system its gravity will stop the earths rotation and then flip its axes sending oceans to relocate.

others think it will be a meteor, as others think it will be self harm and that the aluminarty or how ever u spel it have a plan that in order for the planet to recover and people to live here that 3 quarters of the people have to be, wel i will leave that up to your own thorts,

what do other people think of this, is it just people jumping the gun becouse the mayan calender only goes to 2012 so people think it means the end,or is it just another false prediction like when they said the year 2000 was going to be the end.

I don't believe......but if you do, then whatever you do....do not buy any Christmas presents that year cos you are wasting your money!!!! laugh

Do you go the extra mile to prevent yourself from gathering germs from other people.

I keep hand sanitizer in my car for times when I stop to get a snack at a drive in.

I also keep hand sanitizer sheets at my desk for times when I'm asked to relieve the receptionist for an hour. Her keyboard, phone, mouse and phone are loaded with germs.

I have a habit of putting my hands on my face when I'm in deep thought thus transferring germs from other people.

What do you do, if anything, to minimize picking up germs from other people[/quo\

I do not worry about germs at all. The human race has survived thousands of years without disinfectant and a healthy immune system can easily deal with 99.99% of germs. The Immune system is like a muscle and needs a good work out to keep it fit and healthy so a bit of dirt goes a long way in keeping us healthy. Why is it in this day and age of hand gels, wipes, disinfectants and our war against germs are there so many more cases of allergies, immune diseases than ever before? I think its because our systems are beginning to forget how to fight. Certainly wash your hands after the loo, hold a hanky to cough or sneeze into but apart from that, do now worry.

You will never get such a clear picture of Mars because the images on Google Earth are not entirely from satalite. It gets to a point and then the images are merged very carefully to pics taken by overhead aircraft. They had someone on television recently explaining the process. I was gutted! Up till then I was so impressed with satalite pics. blues

I fail to see why any reward should be offered - even if the job has been done well. It's called a wage. Each and everyone of us are paid a wage and we are expected to do our jobs well. Why, then, reward someone for doing their job???? Pay them and be done with it.

JamesBraginton: Oh my lord! My my my, did that upset u? I am sorry that u are shocked at what people say when they are allowed the freedom to speak their mind. I think we need to roung up everyone who doesn't think like u and have them live in a ghetto.

Freedom of speach is great until it turns to advocating genocide! Do you agree with Hitler then? Killing millions just because their personal belief that a race of people must not exist?????

In response to: In as much as the "theory" of evolution teaches the survival of the fittest, wouldn't it follow that the North and South American Indians were standing in the way of the progress of mankind, and therefore deserved to be wiped out. Even their immune systems were not able to fight a simple disease as smallpox. They were not genetically advanced enough to handle white mans alcohol - how backwards can you get! Their simplistic ideas like "respecting mother earth" would never have fueled the Indutrial Revolution.

This is an obvious case of Evolution in action is it not? The religion of Evolution has no moral codes, so why should anybody care what happens to a backwards culture standing in the way of progress? You can't believe in evolution AND have morals. The two are mutually exclusive.

Could somebody please shoot this stupid bear and make me a rug!

I am shocked and horrified by this thread!!! Genocide is not evolution. Norslyman, you are disgusting and very very stupid.
