Yes, you are so right. If there is a right way, that's not going to matter to most people. But I'm not sure there is a right way. I believe that when I'm talking to someone only on line, I have not committed anything to them except some pleasant conversation, of course unless I've said something specific.

Even if you've talked on the phone and gone out, a person knows if there is really a chemistry there other than mere sexual attraction. If one is not attracted that way, can you still go out and have a good time with the other person without making advances or being suggestive, etc.? And are you committed just for going out with them?

You are exactly right, BNA. The rich. They already believe that they have superior judgement, and a virtual right to control the masses.

To Trish,

Yes, we like to think that our own logic and reason will figure it all out. Consider this. We live in an environment that we will never be able to comprehend - the universe. No one will ever be able to explain the universe, because we cannot comprehend infinite space. And of course, time. We can't comprehend a time when there was no time, or will be no time. Oxymoronic, huh? Yes, the old "space/time continuum" issue.

Another thing. I assume you believe in evolution. So when that first thing "boinked" out of that puddle, was it a girl thing or a boy thing? Or did the sexes evolve? How did these things recreate themselves before there were opposite sexes? That transition period must have been interesting. Have you noticed that evolutionists never mention the evolution of the sexes?

And examine the ways that the scientists are trying to explain the universe. Did you know that some of them now say that there are possibly multiple universes? With that explanation, they are completely changing the definition of universe.

I don't say these things to insult or ridicule you, I say them to appeal to your logic. These issues are beyond man's logic. To say that we trust totally in our own logic and reason, when these unanswerable issues defy our comprehension, in my opinion is not logicial.

God exists, and He loves us.

But both Obama and Hillary have talked about how the rich oil companies aren't paying enough. So, is what they're saying is that "we" aren't paying enough?

I may have to sleep on this concept.

It doesn't matter what they say they are going to do, they'll do what they want. These are very wealthy people who owe a lot of other wealthy people favors for contributing to their campaign. They will tell us what we want to hear to get us to do what they want (vote for them). Kind of like how some men talk to women. They have no intention of following through with campaign promises unless it is convenient.

Embargo, blockade, invade???? So if the U.S. doesn't get what they want they have the right to take it or make thousands of civilians pay for the actions of the Government? Maybe they should just fund a rebel group like they did with the Contra's in Nicaragua and really screw up the country. They own the oil they have a right to sell or not sell to whoever they choose. Might does not make right.

You hit the nail right on the head, baby.

What we should do is irrelevant. If our government follows true to form, they will secretly sponsor a dictator to take over the government, then eventually take him out "for the freedom of the Venezualan people," then take over the oil. Our gov destroyed the economy of Nicarauga in a similar fashion. That is how our gov works. They destroy small defenseless countries that have resources they/we want. This way they can also "justify" defense buildup. That's where our "Social Security" and Medicare are going. If this country weren't just slopping over with resources, there would be no middle class. The rich (the 10% of the population who has 90% of the money) would keep their"rightful share," and to heck with the rest of us.

Yes. I still am attracted to attractive women (if that's not profound, I don't know what is), but have been able to incorporate the realization that looks will not keep a relationship together. They sure can start one though, but I'm past that. I am past that. I am past that. I am past that. Yes, it helps.

Have any of you people reviewed any statistics pertaining to product quality? I have to guess no. I don't know any specifics off the top of my head, but we all know that Toyota and Honda make the best quality cars, and they are not the most expensive. At least in cars, American quality was an oxymoron until the Japanese and Europeans started putting the pressure on us by listening to what the public wanted, then building it better than we did. Quality in American cars has improved significantly over the last 20 years, but it's still not as good as the Japanese. The idea of Crap from the Japs is a 1950s attitude, and is not true any longer. You people just want to bitch. Get some facts and data, and not just from one lemon that you happened to purchase.

I haven't read all your writings, so please forgive me if I misinterpret what has been said. But it sounds like to me that the three people's remarks I read believe that the evil in the world, that which jeapordizes our lifestyle, is some little crackpot nation far away. From what I've read (Hegemony or Survival by Chomsky, and A People's History of the US by Zinn), our government is the primary source of world strife, and has been for a long time. It's not just Bush. Compare the growth of the common person's wages/salaries to that of congressmen. Ours hasn't grown for 35 years (after inflation), theirs' has doubled, then doubled again. It's not about freedom versus terrorists, or black versus white, or the economy, or Democrats vs. Republicans, or any other thing that you mostly hear about on TV.

It's about rich vs. poor. You may have read on MSNBC recently about 952 documented lies told by Bush, Rice, Powell, and others to justify the war. Lies. Have you seen what oil companies profits have done since petroleum went way up? Have you seen the profits of defense companies since the war started? Did you know that we spend more on defense than (I think) than the rest of the world combined? Why? This war is all about money. Who do you think was behind 9/11? The terrorists? I don't. I think it was our administration. They wanted to keep us afraid so they could justify absurd defense spending so they and their buddies could make more money and have more power. They sponsored Hussein for heaven's sakes, let him ravage his own country, then hung him. Explain that logic.

The middle class, a phenomena unique to our society, is going away. Higher gas prices, tax breaks for the rich, etc. take our money. Social Security and Medicare are going away. Where's the money going? To the rich in big business and government.

Here's a quote you should consider. "Government is just a shadow of big business." Thanks for listening. Appreciated your comments.

Jack
