If she didn't answer, when she saw your message, then she is simply not interested...men does the same also.
I think that men and woman that do that are kinda rude personally heh. I always try to at least type a quick, "I'm sorry, I don't feel that spark" or something.

I've been doing this for... ah 3 weeks now I think.

Usually every 10th person I email writes back. That is spread across 5 sites or so. Who knows what little thing in your profile makes a person choose not to respond /shrug.

Also, from talking with a few women friends that have done this online dating, I guess on average that woman get tons more mail then men. So if you emailed a lady that has a really nice picture, chances are, so did 20 other guys.

So be prepared to wait a really long time in other words:)

Because of that, I quickly learned that an email like,

"Hey, I really like your profile, if you like mine, email me back" pretty much guarantees a "no answer" :)

Instead, always pretend that the lady is going to receive 20 emails, so make yours count:) Really read her profile in detail, and think about how what she is looking for relates to you. Type it out, review it, take your time. It is a first impression.

I have 4 step kids and believe me its not always easy. Just remember 1 thing, your not their DAD! and you can't replace him. Be yourself, I have found out that the kids enjoy having 2 Dads. It can also be something to be proud of!!
Good points. I'll keep those in mind.

I'm somewhat curious about this also. I'm at an age now where many of the woman I see online have kids. I like kids, but I'll admit its a bit daunting to consider going from having none, to say, having 2 that are already walking and talking:) Then there is the whole xmas/holiday/step dad in the picture.

Anyone stumble across any good articles or books about dating woman with children for single guys?

If I had a partner, I probably wouldn't be online anymore:)

But if I both had a partner, and had an online presence, then I'd let them in on all of it.

I have a feeling most of us probably have a perfect match somewhere, but they might be 4000 miles away and you'd never meet them hehe.

Maybe in our lifetime someone will develop those star trek transporters and we can zip around all over the world at a moments notice to have coffee with someone in another country:)

I think CLLGEGRL has a rich, feminine voice, that is lighter toned than one might expect.

Ya, I must be really out of practice. I can see the javelin and the gymnastics... but my mind is blank when it comes to shot put:) Unless I've been doing "it" wrong all these years:)

Why waste anyone's time like that.

If you end up losing someone, believe me, it wasn't meant in the first place.

I don't believe in this case that practice makes perfect.
Oh, I meant more like, she and I both agreed to "practice":) I wouldn't condone taking a woman out that thought it was a real date when I was not interested in her. That'd just be plain mean heh.

In response to:
Really it dosn't make a difference. Because if you plan to go on a date with someone whom you have no intentions or no interest in just for practice then you know in advance you have nothing to worry about.

And even if you had that say "practice" but do meet someone whom you really fancy you will still end up getting nervous because the feelings are not the same.

Oh good point:)

I bet thats true.
