Haven't indulged myself in any of those 'isms'. well minimaly I have I guess.here's my theory ... as those 'energy beings/spirits' you know, can't be created or destroyed, always is, always will be, ect .. and since there is no real 'time' for this energy source, because it can beat the speed of light, which once exceeded allows us to see ourselves at any point in time.

Again just my opinion, but adding mass to our desire to expereince what we can see on any level of time, gives us a physical life to expereince what we can see/percieve. However, having this mass slows us down, not only for the experience to become 'felt' on a physical plane, but also to keep us from only knowing our souls alone.

The more things we can think and or imagine creates a need to experience ... far fetched maybe but life is fed by the need to experience it.

hmm ... been wondering since you posted this thread cos this is what i think of most often ...but yet am figuring it out ..

If i stick to my " personalized belief " as mentioned before , i am moe for the concept of " liberation of the soul from the cycle of life and death " ermmm in other words the energy geting dispersed back in to the cosmos.

As Ray mentions about Buddhism and as i know about Jainism , its the concept of the world " samsara " being a sort of place where one is trapped in to enjoying and pleasuring himself wherein he is an obstacle in his own path of self realisation and liberation.

Life forces you to be/behave a certain way: determinism. The will is a lot less free than people think: it is more like it is given some room to move.
