When you believe you take a risk so also when you love ..

But we all have a certain " i wont do " or " this is not possible " make us insecure kind of things which we wouldnt be willing to risk let happen.

It can be anykind and to any extent but with everything there is the chance of being hurt in return. Thats the biggest risk we face all the time with everyone.

Hence the open ended question of " Risk " !!!!!!!

Sometimes the people we get to know are truly fascinating smitten

while someother times they make you wonder " Didnt i mention like mindedness and sane behaviour are a criterion."

mumbling

So people , How much of a risk are you willing to take in a prospective or ongoing relationship ?

My friend would say , most of the communication is non verbal !! I agree with that. hug

Over here as many have already mentioned , assuming we can or will get past the lies and dishonesty , the inside being is the glimpse one can get. Very vital for truly understanding someone.

But goes without saying , no one is entirely honest !!! Its a fair attempt to be true.

Another side of the coin is certain details of your life are best saved to share with that someone special cos its personal and hence special.
So, the element of surprise is bound to exist.

The " physical attraction " part is also true !! Very true in fact. Obviously no one would go for someone they cant like atleast by picture .. if that makes sense really.

Further in the OP i have mentioned about our " Imagined Image " about the person. As we graduate from forums to chat or phone or cam .. its still pieces of a puzzle we are gathering. So its our imagination at play to diff extents dep. on how mature the person involved is.

Ultimately , this is a great starting point !!! Then on you ought to have your feet firmly on the ground and head on your shoulders if you want to find the real deal.. heart wings

My personal opinion. wine

Viruses are easy with zip files cos i believe they cant be scanned. You can ask them to share it over yahoo mail instead . so you scan and download.

" foreign women?" . The other side could be " you are foreign to them as well " so they find this convenient unless they are really sending a virus as you say.

I feel Ray knows and has deliberately put it up in the jokes section.

I would interpret it personally " as a joke played by God on mankind !! Where he leaves his own creation to suffer on one side while another section of the same enjoy .. " and also that " Suffering is what brings the highest of knowledge and realization !! "

some people have a very addictive nature....

hence why some can have one of anything..

and be addicted

Hi wave

Ermmm .. we can look at it that way but fact is when parents have an addiction the children are genetically prone to have the same. thats what i meant.

I have read the definition academically for it to be a disease.

But, it is actually primarily an addiction. And yes one can be genetically predisposed.

True it applies to women too.

False hope .. i dont know what to say .. sometimes people do take time to consider. But then again , if you know its no ways going to happen, easier to politely say no than let the anticipation build and go crashing.sigh

If i land up figuring out the guy is actually playing hard to get , i would gradually lose interest.

I guess some guys just enjoy the chase for whatever reasons (maybe they think they kind of deserve it dunno )

thumbs up

If every skilled or even educated personnel would take it as a personal responsibility in terms of atleast the gratitude we owe to the no. of people who have aided in making our present happier therein to help another who might need it , there would be more of humanity and kindness around.

Having read till here and what Cristina said, I quite agree this kind of hunger leading to severe malnutrition ( kwashiorkar) is more so in somalia , ethiopia and certain parts of Africa.

It is distressing and sad the economic disparity and yes !! i agree the excuse of God is sad to not contribute. Or on the other hand contribute again using religious funding as excuse. I think we could do with humanitarian aid ( as mentioned recyclable goods , junk etc too ) purely for humanitarian grounds ( no motives behind )

I feel there is no Real single solution. Its a multi dimensional approach that would be needed as what these people need is not only an acute relief solution but a way to rehabilitate in to a decent life.

In addition to what has been mentioned , we could have groups of voluntary life skill workers to teach them many other basic skills.

And goes without saying , Money in the name of Aid is a terrible publicity and bank gimmick.

In response to:
I'm gathering from everyones views that the see friendship in the same way they see a committed relationship. The two things are so far removed and cannot be viewed as the same thing. I could be wrong but that's what i get from most of these posts.

Yes being friends with your partner is essential but again it's not friendship it's a committed relationship. Friends can come and go as they wish, partners cannot.

They are not the same thing .

But friendships can mature in to a commited relationship. And more often they do.

In response to:
"If you look at it in another way , cooperative living IS in other words independent living with mutual agreement , concern and adjustment !"

That's hypocritical. It's like saying "i like controlled chaos" One can't control choas and none can life a live of co-operative living by being independent, even with mutual respect. How can you become concerned about someone who is independent in the relationship? You'd be worried that your views would be thought of as controlling and not as constructive critiscism, or from concern.

When you are in a relationship there is no independent living agreement. You life together, you play together, you love together, you raise a child together...........where does independence fit in there

hmm... I would call that kind of worry unnecessary paranoia.

Independence of the sort " my life , my choice , me and more me " is what i DONT believe is healthy.

Well .. ex: I have my own likes and dislikes , i have my own personality , temperment and attitudes.
Further in a relationship : The two people " we " would have a life together with shared interests , love and would raise children together.

But we still stay as individual people with our own views and ideas , hence independent minds who are in a interdependent relationship which we nurture with concern and understanding .

JMO !!
