The problem here, Riya, is the ‘IF’ denoting ‘the ideal’ and not ‘the real’.
All these extreme moral principles amount to an ideal that continuously calls for compromises from the bluntness of reality. Christ’s morality is the greatest ‘ideal-morality’ of all time.
And for me it is just that, a beautiful dainty ideal.
The reality is darker - and I for one would never affect to be so delicate in such a hard world.
To those who truly follow such a life-renouncing self-limiting morality, all credit to them. But I will despise them the moment they look with a feeling of unfairness at the man who lives an advantaged and privileged life for NOT following such a morality to the letter - if even at all. Since they chose to follow such a morality and must face the consequences of it.
I myself have walked over many a misguided and submissive man with the motto: lead, follow or get the f--- out of my way. Because I am going THIS way to my delight or doom!
True Ray... most faiths call for utmost personal sacrifice in todays difficult world to be able to follow the Ideal.
But, shunning or forcing another is totally uncalled for.
True faith and true belief is one where you are self less with blind devotion and live your life by the rules to spread in the life of your family , yourself and other people around compassion , love and humility and not evoke vengence or hate. Faith per se is subjective to personal logic and choice and the word PERSONAL has ben dumbed in to the dark just like the real morality and true intentions of the preacher.
I for one would respect an atheist more than some people of faith for the simple reason that he questioned and used his mind rather than accepted with out a noise. The whole purpose of being Human the most evolved of all species with superior mind abilities is to grow and find the truth what ever it maybe. Yes, we can follow the one who leads. But when there are so many religions , faiths and Gods.. just cause you are born under a certain faith or begin believing one for what ever reason wont justify the facts as to how it has evolved to the present stateand its worthiness in present times.
As ultimately , if we are FOLLOWING religion or our faith truly what matters is our belief and the positive input we can give to the world .... not that somebody else is not following us in the same path.
So, all said and done its one beautiful life !! We can choose to question and find the path or else follow a path which has been apparently justified .
