True , Diogenes , lot of Ancient scriptures and cultures have mentions about homosexuality.

It was a part of the Indian culture too but the diff. is they were looked down upon as people who were normal.

only viewed as concept because most do not beleive .. and 'beleif' is nothing more nothing less than 'acceptance of facts as seen by one's self'.

this is something I accept as fact, not concept, though I find many other concepts as a result of that fact.

a flower for you

I believe there is more to what we know and believe as belief.

So, yes the Chakras are NOT Just a concept .hug

In case of women , its a little different.

They can be purely lesbian in interest or bisexual. If someone is bisexual it cannot be "cured " or be treated by a therapist . One can find ways of handling the situation , coming to terms with it and moving as per their wishes there on.

So, a bisexual women can definitely be somebodys faithful, man loving wife. No issues. But that doesnt change what she has felt or feels.

ties, most certainly

there is also reason to beleive there are ties from the brain to the stomach and other places, hence upset stomachs at times of crisis or thru emotional events.

Ever read anthing about chakras?
the concept of the Chakras is a vast topic by itself.

what you speak of are feelings... not expressions

feelings are felt, have no defintion except our personal musings on them

expressions/impressions are expressed

I meant i cant express the feelings easily.uh oh!

yes indeed. I like quietness and very comfortable with it. When I need more with a serene peace.........I go to the mountains whether it is to fish, but also sit there as well and do things.......I can hear in the distance nature and sometimes I have to look around or look up at a bird and smile. For it is just me and nature. Yes there is times I have to block things out. But on the most part, people respect my privacy and the quietness I like when I need it. Daily I have many hours where I truly enjoy complete silence. It will refresh me. Does anybody else feel refreshed from silence?
thumbs up I do.

I cant express sorrow and hurt . It takes too much of me. Nor is it easy to express admiration or love. So, silence gives me many answers i need. Not complete silence as my mind works it out.

Thankyou Hugs !!

Thankyou Eupho !!

It depesses me cos its a serious issue which can ruin a persons life.

Imagine for a second to be confused about your own sexuality whether it was right or wrong and after that to find someone like minded.

sigh

The surfer has just been making a load of obnoxious comments since he appeared on the thread. Ignore them Riya, and thank you for your informative replies. It is clear we are not all the same and some of us are very sensitive to sound. I do not believe this is from Dyslexia or Attention Deficit Disorder, since Immanuel Kant, Goethe, Lichtenberg, Jean Paul and many other great thinkers/artists were so sensitive to sound they said it tormented them all their life and some even that it ‘tortured’ them.
It depends how deeply and intently you study and think about what you study, as far as I feel. The quieter, the better!!! Who would want to study in a noisy environment!?
Thanks for understanding Ray !!

Personally if there is any study or activity requiring my complete attention , academic or creative , i need the silence to think and be in tune with myself.

But as Bnatural says about the waves , some noise , what you guys have discussed and formatted and wellstructured serious of sounds is what is music to the ears. That is definitely a plus , an intellectual stimulus.

So not all noise is derogatory for the thinking mind.

'an obstinate man meets and obstinate man, a recalcitrant man meets a recalcitrant man, an open minded man meets an open minded man.'

Yeah, and a fool meets a fool [ha ha].

Yeah, all that is true dude. The only real-life friend I have is a man who has tried to hang himself on more than one occasion, and has 60% auto-mutilation of the body like no one I have ever seen. And an IQ of 146. He is a self-learned philosopher, Historian, pessimist of the highest order, and a narcissist who makes me look like Jesus. And we get along very well.

I only relate to such people (er . . .person) . . . the kind the goody-goody, universal-love types despised for being born and picked on when they were kids because they wore glasses and were born with slight autism and an eye defect and were heavily opinionated ‘problem types’ and no one wanted to even talk to them and made them feel inhuman and an outcast.

Even after they were 20 years old!

Such a person meets a person like me and says: you are the greatest friend and the most understanding and kind person I have ever known. And that’s relativity!

Sometimes one despises those who despise!

The old universal love scandal – of the despisers!

thumbs up I admire you Ray !!!

Your not born that way, you choose it. My uncle is gay and has been for 40 years.. He chose that lifestyle.
ermmm.. you are partly right !!!

Its like you are born with certain sexual tendencies. You wouldnt know until the state of sexual maturity and even till you have a sexual experience about your own preferences.

Now !!! Once you know what you ARE ... the CHOICE is bwn 3 things

* Accept it and follow your heart to following that lifestyle

* Feel that you are different yet know what you want and live a dual life , one normal as per society and one as per your heart and never reveal it.

* Know what you are , how you feel but think yourself to be abnormal. Ostracize yourself in your own mind and never go for the choice you WANT but make the choice you SHOULD.

This is why we dont know the real scenario and the intensity of the situation in real life in the world.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But one thing here , I AM NOT ADVOCATING homosexuality . I am trying to explain how these people really feel and how we ruin them mentally and emotionally when we have no right to do anything of that sort.

But definitely , i am against " trying it for fun " on some unwilling soul. Thats cruelty.

In response to:
No...I think you're born that way...I don't think you can anymore change the fact you're gay than you can change the fact that you're heterosexual....

There are people who marry and such who come out later in life...BUT that isn't because they suddenly realize they are gay...They have known all along...BUT have feared societies judgements for not living a "normal" life...the husband/wife...kids and the white picket fence!!!!!!

thumbs up thumbs up

Medically, they say , boys usually known their prefereces much early esp. in teenage years and usually have had same sex experiences quite early in life .

But the kind of mind set the society has and the protocolled living makes people to open up lesser while being acceptable is not too easy.

So.its definitely NOT a DISEASE !!!!

Well... anything thats different usually raises eyebrows until the majority confirm and accept it . Even if it is the right to be ignorant and prejudiced. So, it doesnt really matter.

At the end of the day , if you can see yourself in the mirror eye to eye and identify with the person you are .. the battles won already.
