i know everybody laughs at a subject like this but you should check out youtube and see the video footage of unexplainable objects in the skies for yourself. we certainly aint the only life in this universe.
Too true....and when you look at some of "the disclosure project" witness testimony from militay witnesses its hard to crack jokes when you find out nuclear warheads were affected, aircraft lost, people go missing and alsorts.....

look at the two cds that are posted on google video and listen to the military and intellicence personel testimony and then laugh!!

The more you nose into the subject the more serious it becomes.......

Here's the reality about US taxation. Take the example of a high-earner, self-employed, home owner living in Minneapolis:

1. Federal Income Tax 35.00%
2. MN State Income Tax 7.85%
3. Social Security (self) 12.40% (Not to exceed $12,090.00)
4. Medicaid (Self) 2.90%
5. Sales Tax (MN) 6.50% (Food, Clothes exempted)
6. Property Taxes (Hennepin County)3.00% (roughly of the value)

More than 50% of income goes to taxation of one type or another.
Uk taxes Income tax for the middle classes 40 per cent
The theres national insurance tax
Vat at 17.5 per cent
caplital gains tax
low personal allowances
would you believe we even have to pay to watch tv on an annual basis!! Currently just under £140 a year!
High taxes on items such as fuel (currently at 85%)
Tax on food
Tax on clothes
Local council taxes, mine is currently just under £1400 a year.
The only thing thats not taxed pretty much is books....which are taxed in europe!

So we have sex, breathing and breaking wind that arent taxed!

Everything else they hammer us for!!

cheers

Not long ago, an old friend came by who I had not seen in years. Back in high school, we were best friends. I remember the old days of playing guitar, chasing girls and riding skateboards on his halfpipe in his moms backyard. We lost contact and I had not seen him in years.

A couple months ago, he came around again out of nowhere. I was so excited to have this old friend back. We used to do so much together. Then I found out he had some serious problems. Hooked on pills, crack, anything he can get his hands on. I guess this all started when his infant son died after the hospital sent him home, saying nothing was wrong.

He came by yesterday, begging for money. He was a complete mess and was completely sick from the drug withdrawl. He was crying to me that he needed money. I told him, I have not ate in 6 days. How was I to help him with anything? Not that I would have even if I had the money.

It really frustrates me that he has let himself get like this. He used to be a good person. I wish there was something I could do. I wish I had a way to get him off of it. Now I have never been one to turn my back on anybody, no matter what choices they might have made. I want to help but I dont know how. Do I just cut him from my life and tell him not to come around anymore?
I found out my ex was on drugs....serious ones and i had to look into rehab for her...i then had to personally manage her coming off the cocktail she was on! So I've been there and done that one too, sadly and it isnt easy.

What i can suggest is you speak to someone free of charge.....can i suggest you google "Vale House" in the Uk and they have lots of help available for people.

If you want to know more help feel free to contact me privately and i'll find some links for you.

Btw....They also do friends and family councelling as well as groups which really is helpful.....i attended these to find out what i was up against and found it emmensely helpful.

Best of luck

Rob

In response to:
Bollocks - in the USA they have county, state and federal taxes.......so the level of taxation is higher than one might think at face value (just as in Germany where they have [or at least used to have] loads of extra taxes like 'church tax')......... the tax system in the UK is relatively simple - we are only taxed on what we earn and what we spend and what we save and on what we sell and anything left over gets taxed when we die!

We should just hand over everything to the state and ask nicely for them to give us back a little pocket money in return!
I think the tax policy here now is Vat at 17.5 percent......income tax at 40 percent and rob us blind with stealth taxes any and everyway they can! Must be a while since you visited the Uk!

I remember state taxes being about 7 per cent on average, and the personal allowances were more generous...and the cost of living is considerably lower...for instance a nice house outside say orlando is 250,000 dollars....thats about £125,000....where as a normal house here is over half a million dollars.

How much is a litre of diesel in the states....$2.....it is here, they would riot if they were taxed like we are in the uk!! So your assertion that i am talking bollocks is total garbage.

Want a house in london, got half a million pounds to spend??? Then theres £4 for a one way tube fare from the tube to heathrow airport.....

Try travelling more!! I was in Vienna last week, the place is spotless, the cost of living is about the same but the environment is so much better!! Though in Austria they also have church tax!! I guess faith is expensive if you want it....personally i prefer free will and the right to spend my money where i like, not to have to give money to the church of all places!!

Be easier if they allowed us a break!!

When they tax enjoying yourself then we've really had it.

Meantime tax breaks and beer to all

cheers cheers

Never mind the profile...i'll give you £100 if you can wedge that hat on Eamon Holmes and then throw a bag of chips at him next time hes on daytime TV.

I rarely read the profile of someone, i like to hear what they have to say, but if they appear funny and bright and nice i will take a nosey around the profile to see what they like!

Anyone kind enough to view mine and vote i will write to and suggest they need their eyes tested if they vote me above an eight on appearance alone! Is flattering though, and some comments are a bit humbling from time to time, so it would be really low of me if i didnt take the time to email someone.

Flowers and emails i always respond too! I'd even reply to someone who voted me a one as well, if there was a way to tell...

cheers

Well i actualy change my profile the other week as some people take the p**s at kindness
I'm seriously coming to the conclusion that people take kindness from others and take it as weekness and then see the person as something to try to take maximum advantage of.

Failing that i am seriously unlucky!

It won't change me though, just my view on those i come into contact with.

Wouldn't it just be nice if everyone were friendly, honest and genuine.....or failing that walk around with a sign above their head to say if the a conman, crook, mugger or lunatic!!

I live in hopewave

cheers

Biggest difference is the taxation levels...the cost of living in the states is far more affordable than in the Uk.The standard in "standard" equipment is higher, they have pride in their country, and the weather is better!!

Apparently all us "Brits" have bad teeth too? Where does that come from, i really would like an explaination!!

What is the same is the food...it's crap!!

Celibrate the differences

thumbs up
