Well idf he's male, is breathing and isnt tied down suggest a drink and that would normally work.

I don't know many men when asked out for a drink by a woman would say hang on i think i'm staying in this evening to wash my sock!

If hes local say you have bacon sandwiches on the go, he'll be round in 10 minutes.

This man whoever he is must be the only man in britain slower on the uptake than me!

Be far better off with 2 of them, that way you'd have somewhere to go. I think i'd have to drag one to the maldives, and the other near to a well stocked supermarket and call it quits.....i wouldnt be interested in venturing much further afield than that.

I remember a scientist publishing an article about a decade ago on teleportation of matter, its appaently already under way...though i'm not sure if it were made in britain i'd want to use it.

Shit we cant even make the london eye capsules! How pathetic is that for a country that introduced the industrial revolution on the world.

I'd ask for one thing, without reservation, to be happy.

Not much to ask is it....now all i have to do is put it into a practice and then wait to an angel turns up and ask for the 20 million to make others happy by what i could do with it.

Power currupts, love can be lost, the superiour being might turn out to be a meglamaniac, inner peace can be shattered (i know i had mine destroyed) and what your left with is just you......so learn to be happy, its a skill and have a great life.

Nothing else matters.

cheers

In response to:
well said Robbie and thanks for such positive input - I have been wanting to use the word secularism fo a while now in this thread

the below is copied from the Leicester Secular Society;

What secularists believe to be true about the world therefore is what we can deduce by reason applied to the evidence of our senses. This is also called rationalism (or realism or objectivism) though for much of everyday life it amounts to little more than common sense. However, for aspects of the world beyond everyday experience, such as on the large scale of galaxies, the small scale of atoms, the distant past of evolution, the possible future consequences of our actions, and the often mysterious workings of our minds, we have to rely on the findings of science, though not uncritically. There is still a lot we do not know, and we must keep an open mind.

The secular philosophy cannot offer the reassurance of a certain vision of an ideal future. We only know that considerable changes are likely, and that there will be struggles between people with opposing ideas. We can only say that there are certain ideals of gentleness and tolerance towards which we should try to work. These include, for example, bettering the lives of humankind, through medical knowledge and social reform, promotion of democratic practices in place of dictatorship, supporting equable rights for women and the poor, preventing the exploitation and indoctrination of children. These ideas of morality and goodness are often expressed by the term humanism.

Go on trish spoil yourself...say it a few times...secularism, secularism, secularism....let me know if you want me to use any more words send me a list and ill post hints!

cheers cheers

How would one know if they had a gay teacher?
In my school they were easy to spot.....knitted handbag and looked like the art teacher came from greenham common or from the glastonbury festival....i didnt mind she was gay at all, she was a lousey teacher though.

The sexuality isnt even an issue, what is important is there good at their job!

Same as every other job.....applause
