Yup, sowing the seeds to success only to have the pigs at the trough trying to reap your harvest....

Of course, and that would be governments, what would we do without them. It will be the people that make the difference.

[quote=Loner1960]What signs of spring have you noticed?

Is it kids puddle jumping? in?

Is it kids entering water puddles to see how deep they can go,
before the cold water pours in the top of their boots?

No matter how often you wash your car, as soon as you drive a short distance, it's very dirty again?

We had more snow.confused IT IS APRIL IN A FEW DAYS.

I thought I would start with something simple after all.

Maybe I have to dress up another recipe for someone to actually indulge???

What the heck is it, I am thinking is it a way to a man's heart is through their stomach, or something like that, forget what it is for woman though?

Could try that.

I personally thought Hurrah when the farmers blocked the 417 and drove their tractors to Parliament Hill.....

Well that helped a bit, even though people were ticked off.
Believe that they are getting money. i support them.
It's a rough life as a farmer , most of them are losing their land.

Like New World Order?

Order what you need?

Isn't this what governments do anyway, ok spelling not good on this word (sutle), just sliding things in, example, the gas increases,
people pay it, because we expect to pay this, don't go on the streets,
like this one country has, when the government increased the taxes,
on the farmers. The people went into the streets and for three nites banged pots and pans in protest.

[quote=tampa1][quote=Roseblossum]Well it all sounds good in principle, but lowering demand means an increase in prices. California is having to raise water rates because they ran campaigns to get people to use less water and they did, but revenue fell from the use of water causing them to raise rates. The same thing is happening with gasoline people are using less and tax revenue is falling forcing the state to raise fuels taxes.

The way I look at it is I pay for what I use, when I can't afford it anymore, then I guess I will have to find another way.

This is happening now, with companies allowing workers to work from home and go in one day a week to give updates, etc on the company that they work for. Maybe this is the new world, coming to us?

I loved the train. Far more economical travel, unlike our NA attitudes where everyone takes their car.....speaking greenly of course.

Plus, they serve beer on the train in the UK.

The Beer I had to admit was good, just couldn't drink to much of it.

[quote=gillyloves69]tell the truth now !...don't be shy ! .whats the difference between our two cultures attitudes hospitalities and lifestyles ?

what cities counties or states have you visited ?...what made you decide to visit ?...and what did you really think of the place ?

I found that the english are shocked when you speak to them?

And didn't like the train, standing for over an hour when men
sat there, and didn't offer their seat. Of course occassionaly the men would look up at you, and then go straight back to reading the #@###
paper. Guess I am old fashioned.

[quote=tampa1]Shut down the lights? Whats the point when all the other appliances are running anyway. The lights use very little in comparison.

I know that about the lights, maybe it is shutting down everything.
I think i was told that too by the electrical company.

Has to be a complete shut down, but why just one hour, do this
more frequently, that would make more sense.
