There is an infallible test that anyone can do to answer such a question.

Stand in front of a mirror.

Look deeply in the eyes that are looking back at you.

Ask the question:

Are u happy?

And believe me, however hard one may try, u can lie to all those around u most of the time, but u cannot lie to those eyes.

Straighten that out, and u have found yourself.

You are so right, the happier you are, and taking care of yourself first, you have found yourself. I won't comprise anything anymore after some major hurdles that came my way over the last few years.

Now healthier and happier.applause teddy bear

Further closures of auto plants here in canada. Recently closing a
plant that will effect 1000 people. Then the domino effect, manufacturing plants that make the parts. Contract had been signed
two weeks with the union and workers. Expected since the Ceo of GMC stated gas prices, trends that trucks aren't getting bought, and wages of workers outweigh the cost of purchasing the vechicle.

more closures to occur in us, mexico and canada.

Recession here we come, yes or no. What do you think. Are you secure in your job, I know I am not. How to cope with loss of job especially where you have been there for so long.

Are you ready?sigh

Why does a corporation have a policy that is only written between the party and themselves and then cannot bee obtained unless through a lawyer or court order. I have a contract with the so called party outside the corporation, yet it doesn't jive with the contract at all.
Can corporations and the party write it, then keep it secret, from the employees. It is almost like the policy was written between them,
and not disclosing this before signing up on the contract. I thought
contracts had to have all information disclosed.

What is the difference between a policy that a corporation has with a party outside the corporation. I have a contract with the "party"
that the corporation signed me up with. The policy could not be obtained without a lawyer. The policy written was between the corporation and the party. I found this complex. Now I have the policy yet it doesn't jive with the booklet or contract that I have with the party. Any ideas to why this happens that a corporation can withold the policy that was written between the corporation and party.

God Help us

Can't hurt to spend 1 minute each evening...
ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT
In WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of
people who dropped what they were doing
every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for
the safety of England, its people
and peace. This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped!
There is now a group of people who are organizing the same thing here in
America. If you would like to
participate:
Each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain,
6:00 PM Pacific),
stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying: for the safety
of the United States,
our troops, our citizens and for peace in the world (as well as for the
upcoming Presidential election
this fall).
If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this
along.
Someone said, "If people really understood the full extent of the power
we have available through prayer,
we might be speechless. [AMEN!]
Our prayer is the most powerful asset we have.
Please pass this on to anyone who you think will pray for our nation.
...and God said, If my people who are called by my name, will humble
themselves and pray and seek my face
and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will
forgive their sin and will heal their
land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

You are so right about the power of prayer, and if we are all praying at the same time, it is more powerful. thumbs up teddy bear

[quote=Portiea][quote=Roseblossum]Well, I don't think I'd wait around for two years, or even one, for somebody to be ready to propose....I'm thinking that the person I let myself care about is free when I first start caring--free literally and free in his heart....Wait for two years....oh no..

yes if they are free in his heart, it's the ones that are talking and pineing for their sweethearts and have to tell you all about it.
Those are the ones to watch out for.

[quote=Portiea]Hairdressers often have a good perspective because of all the stories they hear.

That was a hairdresser who waited for a guy to propose after two years
of waiting for him. Said see ya, moved and then stated to me, she took time out for herself, going to school, etc.

[quote=Portiea]Okay, well, here's my serious take on it--from experience. I meet some guy, he seems nice, I like him, we get along. He is divorced or has ended a serious relationship within the past few months. At first, he does not say things that would suggest much bitterness or anger. People put on their best side when you are first getting to know them. So, I let myself be won over....then it turns out they are still totally messed up and it was way too soon for him to be letting someone get close, but he wanted a woman in his life and was willing to fool himself and me that he was ready. So, now I have drawn what is, I suppose, an artificial line: it has to be at least one full year after a marriage or serious relationship has ended--and I mean ended...final divorce, etc.

go for at least 2 years.
