[quote=Hugz_n_Kissez]It's not free anymore...There is a new healthcare tax in Ontario that everyone has to pay....I guess this is the kind of care you get in return!!!!!!!!!!

It's the shortage of doctors that has the system so bad now though and minimum waiting times are around 5 hours in almost any hospital emergency room....We can thank the Rae government for that though...they capped doctors fees and even instituted what they called Rae days which were days when doctors offices had to be closed to save money....The influx of Canadian doctors to the U.S. didn't take long after that and now we are left with 1000's of people with no doctor because we don't have enough and hence the reason for the influx of people in emergency rooms!!!!!!!

It use to be said that the axe of a nurse meant an increase in the Ceo's pocket. One CEo in ontario jumped from $340,000.00 in 2001 to
750,000.00 in 2008. managers are ultimately getting raises to.
Chop, Chop goes the axe. And unfortunely programs that are run are needless in some areas. You never know maybe some will fiqure it out someday, when the worse happens.

Another good natural sleep aid is melatonin. It is cheap and works very well.

melatonin is ok for awhile, but you need natural. Melatonin is good only for a few weeks. Try the calium and magansum at nite. 500 mg each.

You dose off like a baby and get 8-9 hours of sleep. More restorative
sleep.

[quote=PeniAnnie]Well - let's see - - ailments for me.......

In 2006, I had cancer for the fourth time and as anyone who has been around this knows - each time you have to go through chemo - it is a stronger dose.......ALSO - chemo is not predjudice!!! It kills the bad cells AND the good cells.....

So as a result of the vicious cycle of chemo, I developed secondary heath problems. I had degenerative joint disease before the chemo, but the problem became worse afterwards. I also have Lupus, Fibromyalgia and Peripheral Neuropathy, thanks to the chemo.......

I may have "saved my life" by having chemo again (only did it because my daughter wanted me to), but in saving my life - I killed the life that I once had.....everything is different now - and by different, I definitely don't mean better.

I can't sleep - no more than two hrs at a time; I can't relax - the more relaxed I get, the greater the pain., but the worst thing is that my friends abandoned me when I started my chemo and started having additional health problems...

i HAVE been taking malic acid and magansuim throughout the day.

Also take malic acid and magansum and calcium at nite for sleeping
Try this for the fibro.

[quote=Shad0cat]Yeah, but in China they eat dogs and cats. Not my tastes, but the question here is, are the dogs and cats being raised for fur or are they simply using the hides of food animals? I'm not siding with the fur industry or animal cruelty, but I do believe in the old Native american practice that if you take the life of something something for food you should use all of it.

The dogs and cats are bred for the purpose of furs. Check out videos at peta.ca or on you tube.

[quote=nacreous]please ladies do not buy fur coats. the way they make those things is just awful, awful. how any person could actually buy one is beyond me. how do you feel about dogs and cats being hurt and abused? well, whats the difference between that and fur? nothing really. to all those who wear fur coats or fur trim on their coats... I say, please care more about the world around you.
to all else, cheers, and have nice memorial day,
JoshuA

I just posted a forum on cats and dogs fur used for fur coats.
appears china manufacturers, if that what you want to call it
without unsuspecting people knowing this.

So for all you fur coat wearers think of that .barfing

[quote=2catchastar]I wonder how many people would by anything if it had a tag on it reading: 49% fluffy kitty
51% playful puppy
With all the invention of today there are plenty of things to wear, we don't need animals for that now! unless it's wool.
use cotton, rayon spandex leave the Kat and dog, for better things like keeping your bed warm, or giving slobbery kisses when your really down.

Of course that just wouldn't do(i am sarcastic now about the people using fluffy and the dog) that labels state what exactly it is.

Just have to get the message out there and buy locally, instead of buying abroad-----that is environmentally products-----hemp, cotton,
as you mentioned.

[quote=dcj22]Understandable. I take a few myself. I have an old family friend with heart/lung disease. She and her husband are in their 60's and they still have to work in order to cover her healthcare. Her meds are $5000 a month.

When it concerns the heart and lungs, get second opinions.
Like i said doctors push the pills and get kick backs from the pharmicutical(hope that is spelled rite) companies. Canada just recieved the drug lycrica. I sent an email to health canada to find out
more aboutthe drug, side effects, long term side effects. NOTHING.
So far the drug has made the company over 2 million dollars.
The so called miracle drug for pain relief.

[quote=dcj22]That's discusting. So, all I need to do then is glue all of this dog hair I have onto a backing?

dont' think it is like that at all. These animals are killed inhumanely, then well you can imagine what they do next.

do you ever check the meds and find out all the information on them.
Are they needed? I hope so, doctors are pushing meds like crazy,
and there are alternatives.
