out here in iraq, were most of us are serving for 6 months tours what only started 3 weeks ago....myself included....the whole base is dry, no booze, fair enough, but certain personell on this camp, not saying who....maybe the higher authority, they can all have a cracking dinner party most nights with VIP'S and us lot, were not even aloud to have a can of beer with our xmas meal at christmas!!!!whats that about,i just think its a bit lame, hats my opinion,whats your's????

im pissed off with tony blair!!!

here i am sat in kuwait 3 hours away from heading to basra, to start a 10 month tour, and we dont even get a xmas message from the british PM. and this is a american base i have just spent the last week on, and god!!!they get looked after, everywere you go there is messages of good luck from all over amwrica, i had a sratnger, well, an american soldier, come up to me and wish me a merry xmas and good luck with the tour, i was so proud to be serving along side these allies!! and then thought about my own country...they dont give a shit about us out here, the americans here look after us better than our own!!!! so heres a big THANK YOU!! to all you americans, because you guys have manners and know how to look after your own...and strangers!!! thank you all very much...

can anyone give me some feed back on this, because most people on this website seem to have real crap opimion about our armed forces, i for one, a serving member, have been for 7 years, thinks, there isnt another nation in the world, what could match our armed forces, for the sheer proudness each and every one of us have, to be serving our country! were smart, proffesional, and go to some of the worst hell hole places on this planet, but we go, then come home some time later, have a drink, and forget about it, thats waht makes us proud! and british!

thank you, someone who has some sence, ive not long came back from iraq, and i was doing exzctly what the 15 guys were doing, and its not easy, they were just following rules of engagement... do not fire unless fire upon, no one wants another war, personally, id like to go home for more than 6 weeks this year, i think uk and usa armed forces are doing a great job, and we deserve a little bit more respect from people!
