In response to:
l agree with all of you...but if you think about about when you were 25 thats what was on your minds...partying, sex and men or woman.
l think as a adult myself with kids, its just not something we ever thought we would see here..its not something thats advertised..
So l end this with keep it personal and when you get there look for what you want, dont advertise that you are looking for sex.
You are bang on, Canadian angel !

Tiffany, why not post to meet guys publicly, then pm them with your best wishes! blushing

Most parents on here are coming at you from the point of view of raising young children. dunno , I might be generalizing here.

As our children grow, however, we realize that young adults are trying their wings. Hopefully we have taught them well enough to be able to make good decisions and choices when they are out there. YA's are speaking much more freely, openly and honestly about their wishes and feelings than my generation previously did. Then again, I'm much more vocal about things than my parents' generation was. professor

Folks, there was an international post that was not as pleasant as this one last week, blatant, crass & rude. It was removed.

I already know what my kids are doing by reading FACEBOOK! Good thing? I dunno ! But I know what they're doing. laugh Both are 18+!

Re: the post, I would NOT BE PLEASED. I have taught mine a few morals and I would expect them to follow what they know is right in their hearts even when they are far away.

Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time

Lying in my bed I hear the clock tick,
and think of you
caught up in circles confusion--
is nothing new
Flashback--warm nights--
almost left behind
suitcases of memories,
time after--

sometimes you picture me--
I'm walking too far ahead
you're calling to me, I can't hear
what you've said--
Then you say--go slow--
I fall behind--
the second hand unwinds

chorus:
if you're lost you can look--and you will find me
time after time
if you fall I will catch you--I'll be waiting
time after time

after my picture fades and darkness has
turned to gray
watching through windows--you're wondering
if I'm OK
secrets stolen from deep inside
the drum beats out of time--

chorus:
if you're lost...

you said go slow--
I fall behind
the second hand unwinds--

chorus:
if you're lost...
...time after time
time after time
time after time
time after time

Worst date:

I chose my X from the "Ugliest Guy in the Bar Contest". (A little flawed I know, but hey, I was young in those days. Did I say young? laugh )They were coming out of the woodwork that night to buy me drinks. Seriously, he rescued me that night. Nice looking guy, really, for someone else! laugh

Best date:

Flash forward to the recent past..........................................................

I went out for a great dinner & intelligent conversation, which included humor & music & then later American Idol Karaoke. Lots of fun. Kept it really light. Super time! dancing

Dear Mother Earth,

You have a cute way of telling us you're there.

You make me worry and fret.

You should quit with the hurricanes, deadly forest fires, earthquakes & mudslides.

You + me = A Mexican Stand-off!

If I saw you naked right now I'd plant some flowers, grass & trees on you.

I would get your name tattooed on my saddle bags. laugh

If I could sing you any song it would be (1) Telegraph Road by Dire Straits; (2) The Road to Freedom by Chris de Burgh; (3) Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts.

We could debate you next Act of God under the stars.

Love,

Karen, is it the photo thing again where someone won't post a photo or possibly an up-to-date photo?

...or is it that someone portrays themself as other than they really are?

At least with the latter, that can happen even when you meet someone face-to-face in the real world. laugh

Take it even a step farther. You think you really know someone, then they do a 360 on you...dunno why?

This is the first year that both of my children are free of school, high school & post-secondary. I don't miss the big expenditures of going back or the lunch-making at all! laugh

One has become independent. The other becomes independent this year. Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But, I do remember the relief I felt when my own children were young and going back. The last two weeks of August were always the hardest...They were out of ideas (and so was I) with what to do with themselves.

I hope everyone's young people have a great school year!
