I just checked my friend's flight details - she arrives at Luqa at 2340 hrs on Wednesday, 29th August........ I guess I'll go and pick her up at the airport in the 'Yellow Peril'.

I'll come over to Malta in the afternoon (might visit one of the lovely CS Maltese ladies on the way to the airport) and I guess we could meet up for a drink before I stagger on to Luqa....... somehow I think Wendy will be too tired to party on the night of her arrival though!

It was just a quote, i was not saying it was about me and my feelings, although i think most people do find it hard to say how one feels in a relationship as not to feel vunerable if the feeling is not returned.
So, have you told Jacko that you love him yet? grin

I agree 100% .....but the problem is that men talk about their property and money in the bank and their well paid job....to attract women...............stupid women if they fall for that
Hmmmmm... I said that most wealthy people were successful and deserved their success due to their positive attitude.

I feel a little guilty as my good fortune is not of my own making and I have nothing to brag about.........would I brag if I was wealthy because of my own labour?

I don't know, maybe I would but many wealthy people are really nice modest people who have absolutely zero need to impress others (in my experience).

They might have had to be really focused in the business life to succeed, but they often seem to be really relaxed and friendly when you meet them socially.

There again, the discipline required for somebody to acheive a goal can make them control freaks!

My best friend was very attracted to a very wealthy man. He was charming and generous and they got to know each other 'well'. She was invited to his mansion. While he mowed his lawn on one of those huge things you sit on, she made him a meal.

He freaked out when she put knives in his cutlery draw the wrong way round! She immediately ended the relationship (sensible woman!).

I guess control is another matter, but they can go together (control and obtaining wealth)....... as human beings we do not like to be controlled, and should therefore not try and control others.......

Some men are obvious control freaks, women can also be, but tend to be more subtle about it!

No dear, the blood thing has to do with diseases that are frequent in our black continent and not here. Malaria virus for instance, i heard it can still be active for more than two years. Me as well, i can't donate blood if i got back from Africa in less than 2/3 years...

This is correct hein girl?

I had malaria once.

I went to give blood decades later.

There were all these questions. One was 'Have you had malaria, if so please let a nurse know.'

I was so relieved as I thought I could get out of giving blood as I'd had malaria as a kid in the Congo!

No such luck! They told me it was so long ago that it didn't matter!

I gave blood.

They give you a nice cup of tea and a biscuit and tell you not to smoke for at least an hour!

Bollocks!

A ciggy immediately after giving blood is almost better than a ciggy after making love - the nicotine goes straight to your brain........woohoo!

grin

True happiness is not for sale...
True -

but in recent surveys wealthy people at least claim to be more happy than those people struggling at the bottom of the heap........ often wealth is a by-product of success, and success is often a by-product of a person with drive and ambition and a good personality!

I've been both rich and very poor.........being rich and miserable is better than being poor and miserable - however I have also been poor and very happy........ being rich and happy is of course the best option that I am now reaching in my old age!¬

People who seek happiness are often miserable and fail. People who seek wealth just for the sake of it are often miserable.

The happiest people are those who have a positive attitude and treat the obstacles in life as challenges rather than problems sent by an uncaring God to fuck up their lives.

I hope that anybody reading this post feels good about themselves - happiness is a natural state and we all deserve to be happy if we just relax a little and accept the many blessings that are showered on us every day!

In response to:
i prefer the english term ' you' : pas besoin de faire une différence entre 'tu' et 'vous'
Netterman - the former English 'tu' was 'thou'............I use it rarely; only in certain circumstances such as:

'Thou art a knave, Sir - and if you do not apologise immediately to the lady I shall have no option but to challenge you to a duel'

One can also use 'thou' to a lady:

'Thou art more lovely than a bowl of gently melting ice-cream, I want to lick you all over!'

'Thou' is just not used enough in English these days!

ehh rusty knight but with using the word ' vous' you are showing more respect
exactly! you are so right! however, the 'vous' form is a bit passee these days....plus having seen flower's bosum tattoo it would be a bit silly to be so formal, n'est-ce pas? grin

Re. mistake seven

I met my third wife via the internet. We were friends for over a year before we met. She knew my ideal woman was in a certain age range. She lied to me about her age; even using her mother's Altzeimer's as an excuse for her mother insisting she was wrong!

It didn't matter to me (her age).....what upset me was that she lied.

Some people lie for ulterior motives, but I'd suggest lying is not a good way to start a relationship.

By the way I am 6'10" and my pheremones are so sexy that a swiss pharmaceutical firm are paying me loadsa money to be given permission to reproduce my very own 'factor x' from my sweat.

Unfortunately, so far my 'factor x' only attracts female mosquitoes!

Bugger!

yours bitingly,

'X' F. Actor

Hope it helps you and all my lovely female friends on here....and help me too...ya never know!!
My darling Brunette,

Let's not rush things!

Let's get to know each other over the internet first before we meet in person; let's delay the pleasure of our first meeting, our first touch, our first kiss, our first intimate fumblings.

I suggest we meet in Ryan's bar for a drink.

I have nothing in my diary yet for 2013.

Your ardent admirer,

Marje Simpson xxx
