This is one of the reasons I am sooo cagey with my feelings.

I try to keep them waaaaay back until I am almost certain it's safe to 'expose' myself.

I'm not good with hurt.. it makes me a hermit like moody sarcastic 'cut my nose off to spite my face' cow.

Did you wonder sometimes: How many different people can see your picture and your profile and be “judge” (giving you voice and rate your picture)?

A separate forum for those who are supposedly "truly looking" wouldn't work, because that's where the scammers would go looking. You still wouldn't know.

All you can do is use your head, and don't let your emotional needs carry you away. And if something doesn't work out, well that's just life. That's how we live and learn. It's never too late, as long as you're using oxygen!

Lots of people on these date sites are misleading and in reality are using them as the local watering hole for discussion. Supposedly the purpose of these forums is to assist in people meeting so they can date and hook up. But, you can find a large number of people who simply come here to meet friends, kill time, and play. Lots are wasting time of people who are very seriously wanting to find a mate or simply a date. Maybe there should be a way to separate them in various discussions/meeting places...maybe filter out those looking for just friends or email ... possibly could apply to intimate encounters as many of us are actually hoping to find a serious relationship as our ultimate goal.

Stooie1971 hs been in a road accident with a scooter and suffered broken ribs and some other, but less severe injuries.

that I've been BLOCKED!!!!

I totally respect ANY reason btw,that anyone may have to block you.
But is there usually no polite message of goodbye or anything before they do it??
Is it acceptable on-line behaviour if you have done nothing more than perhaps be boring or,I don't know........just tiresome,I suppose........for someone to BLOCK YOU without a word like: 'Goodbye,I'm going to BLOCK YOU now!'

And I'm starting to take things people say here and turn them around.This guy had openly supported a 'much more CIVILISED and REFINED' way of life.......Whatever.......

NOT nice to be treated like a PSYCHO/STALKER.
Please could noone comment that this is an attention-getting tactic.Some of you guys accuse people of that alot.I really would like to know if you think it's okay to block like that...
